Looked into EV and apart from True Cousins SS (fasted EV IN THE WORLD!) and a couple of efforts that seem to have diapered over in stateside not a good idea, it is the cost of the batteries that is the most off putting.

What a bummer, I so know what you went through, I had my SS in a "secure and cared for" storage and with a cover on, after two years at 50€ a month the cover had long gone, rain into the carbs and engine, totally buggered that all up and rats eat the wiring and crap all over the interior, so yeah, been there done that. At least you have the car back and with the old saying that there is only two ways to do a job, do it your self or pay someone to do it for you, I hope you can get it up and running without the expense of an engine rebuild.

The idea of the FB page was to be self administrating, doesn't seem to have worked that way.
I'll have a look now.

Hi dave,
Welcome to the forum and this is about the only place you will find RV chat. not too many about unfortunately but surprisingly Eagle have a higher survival percentage than most production cars. Great thing about kits is every one is unique and you do what the heck ypu like with it, as long as it stays legal of course. Good luck with the project, keep us all posted. Peter

Yes it is a good idea to have night vision on it. I am still deciding where to mount it. I am considering mounting it near the rear view mirror. Right at the back above number plate is by far the best position or with modern micro cameras such as I have on the sides there is just enough room above the rear window. (where I have my brake light).

Reverse camera is one of the first things I fitted back in the day, one of the first and about 2" but now of course 1/2" , wouldn't be without it and on Ukhozi I even have three others, one just behind each door covering the quarter blind spot and on in the nose with night vision...
