The red eagle. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SS-Eagle-gull-wing-kit-car/193348474864?hash=item2d047797f0:g:0-0AAOSwkkxeQIw6Looking at the photos, The body is as it was delivered from the factory. Remember, the body includes all the following factory fitted.. all Glass, doors, door fittings, dashboard, wiper motor and spindle, pantograph wiper arme (one) and wiper blade: headlamp pods, pop up headlight motor and linkages, door rubbers ( fitted to body ):Bonnet and boot lid, all locks, and bare chassis. This eagle has not had the body touched since it left the factory, so a blank canvas. Series III with own chassis. you need to find the interior roll bar ( from seller ) and 2 stays that go back to the chassis, and fuel tank, and stg. column etc.

I hesitate to post the following, but it's in a railway siding, hard standing, with limited space, although the satellite view shows a reasonable size available, don't expect a large turn out. www.gcrailway.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/118.jpg I would expect locals, or some from 10 miles away to attend, but not to be supported by any firms.
Car parking is available in the field car park next to Quorn & Woodhouse station at £3.00 per vehicle
It's free to enter, therefore it's to promote their volunteers, / train rides. Trains run every weekend of the year, bank holidays and selected week days through the summer see www.gcrailway.co.uk/, and recent car show at www.gcrailway.co.uk/the-railway/vintage-vehicle-club/

It is a non circlip type of uj so it is a specialist job to replace It. It could be peened at ends or have plastic holding them in, or inboard circlips. For "How To Replace Factory Plastic Injected U-Joints" see ( inboard clips are shown being fitted at end of video. )

Microsoft today ( 14 May 2019 )is taking the unusual step of releasing security updates for unsupported but still widely-used Windows operating systems like XP and Windows 2003, citing the discovery of a “wormable” flaw that the company says could be used to fuel a fast-moving malware threat like the WannaCry ransomware attacks of 2017. update CVE-2019-0708 does not affect Microsoft’s latest operating systems — Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012 R2, or Windows Server 2012. See krebsonsecurity.com/2019/05/microsoft-patches-wormable-flaw-in-windows-xp-7-and-windows-2003/where this update is available, and link is support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4500705/customer-guidance-for-cve-2019-0708My update was automatic ( via other software instigating the update ) and took appox 30 minutes Most of it was for .Net Framework. .Net Framework I don't like, and I will delete sometime. Why ?, because some normal sites use it, and you can't access their web site unless you have Framework installed, therefore I don't want to go to those sites if they cant build a P.C. compatable web page.

Lancia Delta SS. What was it doing all alone? Have updated sites.google.com/site/hisautos/home/eagle to show the abysmal space allocated for the E.O.C. That's why it was on it's own. And a new access road is being built as per the steel mesh fencing, so there could be less space next year, but the plot opposite has been allocated, but always empty for the last 3 years, so we can pinch some of the site next year. One has to do what one has to do.

might be the same one with the clamshell back? Nice line up of the usual RVs, come on SS guys, get a grip. Yep, clamshell back on SS. ( GT 40 style ) Look for the vertical line between top back air vent and rear of door opening. My SS was nearly ready, but more health issues stopped repairs, even after getting mobile mechanic to do some "Strenuous" jobs, which could have split my internals, yes, it's that bad, but next year it will be there.

Any idea where to get replacement grommets that go through the 4.5 / 4.7mm side glass on SS Mk 3. ?
They are an "I" section ( flat both sides, no radius on edges.)
As a matter of interst, have changed the "roof bolts" originally fitted to the glass, with M6 recessed allen headed screws, which look much nicer than the 2 slotted ( cross ) bolts.

Looked, visualised, a few inches missing. If I remove the back axle and top trailing arms, it may come drop down, but may not have time for that, but I just want to pull it out sideways, but don't think it will. Hope to get to Stoneleigh with it next month.

Removing SS Cortina fuel tank.( Ford 2000 cc front engine )
Before I start, it looks a bit tight in there, so does any one know if it can be removed without taking the body off ?
Thanks.

The engine has never been run since I have owned it - you say. Excuse me for the following, but if you don't do the following, you may have problems. ( car will not start, damage to engine etc )and if you know what to do already. Change the points as the "points" part will be knackard, corroded and useless.( grease cam ) Blow the crap out of the spark plug recesses and remove spark plugs. Wire brush plug threads ( or buy new plugs ) and very slightly oil plug threads before replacing. ( don't replace yet.) Empty one quarter of a can of WD 40 into plug holes BEFORE attempting to turn it over, and leave 24 hours. Change the oil and filter, and three quarter fill fillter with 20/50 ( classic oil ) while waiting those 24 hours. Ensure the oil warning light comes on when turning on ign'. With spark plugs out and lead coil to disy earthed, remove from centre of Disy; and a NEW battery, you can, with ease, turn over the engine. Any slight rust in the bores should have been freed, and turn over engine ( without spark plugs and new battery ) and see the oil light eventually go out ( 10 / 15 seconds ). Thats the oil pressure up, and turn over a bit more to prime the oil feed tube that feeds the cams. You don't know what was wrong with the engine, did it have a big end gone, a noisy camshaft, no oil pressure ?? hence it being abandoned. Also, the old 20/50 which would have beeen used in the 70's must be changed every year without fail. Many uk and usa motor sites state the new breed of oils and also synthetic ruin older engines, as tolerances were made to suit the oil available at the time. Newer cars to run on 15/40 and 15/30 have tighter tolerances. Good luck in protecting your engine on the first ever start after 4 to 8 years.

Nova website always has a problem !
always down. If you go to www.euro-nova.co.uk/ it always says Our website is undergoing a make over and will be back soon.
You cannot join unless you email them, and then they will tell you if you are a suitable candidate. Or they say "We are not accepting any new memberships at the moment"
So now I just don't bother with the Nova club anymore.

For those who are not conversant with the models, can you advise members if it's a front or rear engine car ( if very early mark one, will be a beetle with rear engine.) A few more details would enhance your chances of sale. ( Assuming your post is to sell the Eagle )
