I think its great I don't have to worry about rust ,I have sent off to join the club so will hopefully be a proper member ! I will hopefully post some pics of the car as it is and as I work on it and change things hopefully for the better ive already sent off for a whole load of stainless nuts and bolts especially after the escapade with rusted light lifter bolts ,before I forget could any one tell me the benefits of fitting a 5 speed gearbox over the 4 speed apart from fuel consumption and do all Eagles have the same size petrol tank thanks guys

Hi thanks no don't panic I am not going to chop the roof off lol I like it as it is and I wouldn't want to loose those doors as I cant afford a deloreon, interesting to see the floor pan is made of plastic! bit frightening if the seats are bolted to it as mine seems to be

Ive just been thinking (which is always dangerous) it looks like the doors can be removed in minutes so is it illegal to drive on the road with the doors off? also has anyone ever chopped the roof of an ss? I know I may be at risk of lynching with such comments lol

It has what could only be described as a gothic steering wheel which I will get round to replacing ,the rock hard bucket seats are already on the out list for the weekend .While fiddling with the lights I did notice the bosses where the main lifting bar goes through don't sit square if you tighten them up is this normal? Also none of the gauges seem to work no fuel gauge no temperature gauges and the speedo is optimistic so I will be sorting these out too, could anyone tell me if there is an air filter that fits under the bonnet at the moment it has what can only be described as chicken wire sandwiched between to flat discs with a piece of foam that doesn't meet in the middle thanks guys

Great that's what I was hoping you would say as they are fairly cheap to buy ,that way I can fit a smaller steering wheel and I may chop it down so its a bit closer to the dash give me a bit more room to get in and out ,I took it to the petrol station yesterday I cannot believe the attention it got thank god it started lol
