After about three months of putting it off I finally started fitting my new carpet , after half an hour I realised why I had put it off !!! Can there be a harder car to fit a carpet to Half a days work and it was awful it looked like a bad jigsaw puzzle so I ripped it out and started again . I decided to go for big panels that involved a lot of wastage but its looking good ,another two days and it will be done . Fitted my new head lights with built in DRLs and they look the business my dash also looks pukka now

The beauty of the MG ones are you can turn them on and off so the cabin ones can be shut off so full force goes to the screen

Everyone who takes on cars like these should be applauded for taking them on in the first place!! No one knows what horrors are lurking and yes you are right normal life does get in the way ( Dammmmm normal life lol ) ( I should know I never thought I would get as far as I have with mine ) It does look terrible LOL I can promise if I take it it WILL be back on the road and not scrapped can I start the haggling 350 ? can I ask where you are ? thanks

Regards directing the air flow its a lot simpler to just use vents you can close off by hand ,I used 4 x air vents from a modern MGTF they look the business and work really well and its easy to heat shrink the air duct onto the back of them but this can still be slid on and off the air vent

I actually did mine a little different and used two solenoids, one normally open and one normally closed , the one normally open went into the bypass and when the digital thermostat cut in it opened the shut one and closed the open one , that way I can get full heat into the heater matrix

Good stuff just fit a solenoid you can buy them off ebay 12v half inch fittings like item number 2515307 normally closed then simply connect a coupling each end and 22mm copper pipe that should push into the hoses . The digital controlle63331r then simply opens or closes the solenoid on demand

Might be a good idea to remove threads that haven't been updated for a while it does get confusing (especially to me )
