Always fetch more this side (Europe) of the channel. Very nice MkIII Ford version with a new coat of paint.
I would be nit picking to fault it like why a crap glass in the speedo when a new glass would make a lot of difference to the finish and the centre console is a bit MkI Land rover in appearance but all in all very nice. not too keen on the very plain rear end either. But, each unto their own. I am sure the buyer will 'make it his own'.

i have a ss eagle kitcar mk1 on a 1953 vw beetle chassis Is it registered on the original donor number or a Q plate. Mine is a 1966 but on a Q so it is a 1995- The seller is a dodgy countryside garage , I did ask about the year as I saw at least one was on a Q plate which would have made it a post 1985 but he insited the log book said 1966 so I guess the other one is on the donor plate, He was very rude and told me to "piss of", great sales pitch.

In Spain pedestrians have the right to just walk out onto a pedestrian crossing without warning, including in front of a moving car, death rate is quite high.
Don't even get me going on bloody cyclists, do what they want where they want, wrong way up one way streets, jumping red lights, cycling on pedestrian pavements ignoring the blue tracks, nor giving cars a wide berth then bitching when a door opens and they run into it. no Hand signals, no lights. No insurance.
When I was a councillor the local cycle club took us on a trip to point out the short comings of the system in Cheltenham, first thing they did was take us up a one way the wrong way as it would mean a 200m detour the 'right way'.

1989 MkIII not 1966 as stated, but a sound starting point. 2K not bad, may well be snapped up by Ford Cortina fan.

With you there Graham, An Early MkII, (MkI side windows, separate nose). in good nick. loose the stickers and be worth the money. Strange it has a VW boot lid so must be really early, unless Rob Budd swapped it for the Ford lid on mine.

I did say 200 a set for steel, 400 was for alloy. I would just keep Goggling "8x15" 5 x 114.3 steel wheels" and see what turns up.

Alloy 6x 15 will cost you about 450 for 4, tell about half that which if it is for an RV would be OK. Check out Ebay, they have quite a few on there.

I actually drove one of those and had a mate AND HIS MISSUS in the back, steering was definitely pedal car standard. but fun.
mute point, nearly ALL those replicas would be confiscated and destroyed here in Spain. Very strict on copyright. A guy built some Ferrari replicas on Ford Sierra base and had the whole lot destroyed. bad enough getting an Eagle SS legal here.

Apologies for my absense on here lately, Its good to see some progress being made with memberships. All thanks to Graham (RAM) for putting in some much needed effort and drive. I handed over the position of chairman to Graham but I am still available to help out in any way I can. Thanks Graham and Peter. Hi Terry, Just glad you are still in the land of the living, had us worried for a while.

They gone through here having crossed from Tangier but get work in the 'plastic sea' where Spain grows a lot of it's fruit and veggies up the coast. at least the buggers get put to work. In Denmark my sister in law said all 7000 Afghanis have work as they have a shortage of labour.

Managed to get to the 'shed' today, (Tuesday) and got some fluid into the system, bleeding single handed is a problem without either a vacuum tool or an Easi-bleed but I have a 60CC syringe and sucking it through with that, Fluid in the front callipers again, just need to get some more air out, rears still need another bleed too . Managed to get the mystery of the none starting Suzuki AN400 cleared up, some bloody idiot ( Oh!, only me working on it, ). put some paper towel in the inlet manifold to keep crap out and put the carb' back on with it still there so one inlet valve jammed with paper, my son-in-law did the same trick on his BMW 525TL.) , head off and cleaned up, I had to buy a valve compressor kit on Amazon for 32€ so not here until Friday, I don't know why I never had a kit before?. Mother in law stuff still on going, sister in law coming down from Denmark to make sure she gets a pick of the estate, SO it really highlights the need to have all your ducks in a row, will, clutter, etc. We all have about 75% of our 'stuff' we don't need, never use and can do without and as for a will, well, only 55 don't need to worry about that yet, really? You never know.

Well, Monday arrived and more proceedings regards mother in laws estate to attend to so not much chance of 'shed time' today.
I would advise anyone that is 'getting on' as am I, to de-clutter and strip possessions down to the essential, does one really need 10 pairs of trousers and 20 shirts etc? all the stuff accumulate over the last 22 years and before in the UK is horrendous and some poor bugger has to sort it all out when I pop off so I am donating a lot of stuff to charity shops and selling off most of my tools and equipment, (I really do not need a welder now, let alone 3), a simple tool kit and a couple of special tools and the rest can go for sale. When we moved out of our house to the flat there was a lot of 'stuff' left in the garage, that was 7 years ago and it is still there, that is how much we needed it.

I was going to say that I think the secret to good welding is a having a good angle grinder at hand to sort out the mistakes, but I concede it's probably practice. It can be very frustrating when it goes a bit wrong and starts to resemble pigeon droppings. I wouldn't want to tell people how to weld, but new, clean and shiny steel, a decent welding mask and good light make it so much easier. A practice on a separate piece of steel to set the wire speed and amps to something that doesn't melt the piece you're trying to blob together or throw to much spatter around is also a good idea... and if its 2mm or thicker it is more forgiving if the amps are a little high.. that's the reason why most of my parts looks like they might make suitable ancillaries for a something Agricultural! Anyone who can weld thin rusty car panels, can weld anything! Thankfully Eagles RVs and SSs are made of fibreglass!! Well said that man. I have been welding buggys and fences at the stables for the past 10 years and they are all made from crap steel, if it can be called that. The number of times I have had to chase a hole with weld and then grind it down. Nice new 2mm+ steel is easy.

Every year it never ceases to amaze me the reasons for not having the car ready and attending. I know of a few that are ready and just need a short term insurgence and a quarters tax to make it to the MoT and the shows. I would love to see some of you guys back on the road, if only for few weeks,
Me? Well I do have a fairly good excuse being only 45 minuets short of driving off of Europe completely and the reciprocal arrangement on driving licences not sorted out. (Brit expatiates will not be able to drive on UK licences in Europe as of 1/1/22 as things stand and visa-versa).

Why have I got raging back ache? Curled up in the left front wheel arch fitting the brake lines, that's why . All fitted and made a new one for the front cylinder to 3-way as I bent the nipple and it wouldn't seal.
Of course the new set of 10-13m brake spanners arrived after I did the job but I will check all is tight with them.
Now I can get on with bleeding the bleeding brakes and then making the box to go over the assemble.
