Shouldn't be too difficult, Roy. What actually needs doing? Is it a complete rewire or a repair only.
If it needs a complete rewire, one of the simplest (and not too expensive) ways of doing it would be to buy a new loom. You could try the Dutton owners club or there are some specialists who will custom make a loom to your spec, but that is more expensive.
For a ford wiring loom, try the owners club forums. I have found them to be invaluable for information and spares, though I have not always told them it was for a kitcar!
It can be a bit daunting but you should be able to work through it fairly easily. You could always take up the offer of trailering it to Donnington and the 'guys' wiring it for you there! Should be a laugh ;D ;D ;D

Dunno about P21's but my SS (Cortina based) has the column brackets bolted to a square cross member under the dash. For extra rigidity I also clamped it to the bulkhead whre it enters the engine bay. Chaz.

hey roy thats a crossflow engine, so i guess either a 1.3 or 1.6, they use them in old westies, and locosts.. think they have a club series for the 1.3..
a good little engine have seen lots of power from them, my mate has a 1.6 bored to a 1.7 in a mk1 escort, is pretty special, as it puts out 148 at the rear wheels...
ill be a donny and am happy to help with anything..
;D ;D

it shouldn't matter what engine is in as to your speedo as your speedo, especially as you said your speedo is emp, (electro magnetic pulse) the pic-up never comes from the engine, as it would not take into account which gear you are in... any way as i said ill have a look at donny for you,

I've been toying with the Idea of Buying a new WIRING LOOM at the show from Premier Wiring Systems , Would this make it any easier for you lad (Re Wiring my car, WHAT Loom would I need to get, but I'm just a silly old clown who don't know naffink)And how long do yer think it would take to rewire THINK my Biggest problem is going to be making steering safe As only fitted to Dash as far as I can see

Hi Roy, Nice to see someone who's actully older than I am for a change. ;D Wiring is easy if done wire by wire and using the correct colour coded cables ALL the way, so many run into problems when a wire starts off say red/green and ends up blue/white. www.vehicle-wiring-products.co.uk have EVERY thing you might need. Your not going to have the doors, etc. blow off when it's finished are you? Peter

Both calipers or one Roy? (Servo fault if both). I have some nearly new M16 calipers (14 months use) if you need some cheap.
Boiling = thermostat, water pump, blocked rad, kinked hose, air lock, poor airflow, incorrect layout etc. etc.
Chaz.
