Hi, I just picked up my RV today. Think it’s based on a Cortina but not 100% sure. It has an MOT till November but I plan to strip out the interior and replace most of it, put some seats in to the back. Then sort the body work out. It has the fibreglass doors but not the brackets to attach them to the body so I’ll need to look on to that. It has half a soft top but is in poor condition so I’ll probably sling it. It has no hard top but came with a land rover roof, and sides. So the plan would be to modify this to fit, unless I can find an original hard top. I’m waiting for approval on my account here so posting as a guest. ibb.co/SyQj5MNibb.co/ts0hXdwibb.co/9rjmN0NRegistration is Q920NYB

Hi John, welcome to the forum, nice to see another red one, it gives me an idea what mine will look like when finished (not this year tho) 14 or 15" wheels? Better to keep your soft top as a template as they don't come yo fir sale very often. There are some hinges on Ebay that might help you out

Welcome. That looks to have plenty of potential. Looks like it might have have the kit option 16" Weller wheels?

Thanks for accepting me .
It’s got 15” wheel 32x11.5 50R15.
Been giving it a clean today as the engine was caked in mud, looks like the previous owner had fun in it!
I assume it’s running on Cortina bits, it runs fine, but the battery looks to have died today as it’s not turning over!
the electrics are a bit flakey so will need some work, and the indicator stalks could do with changing.

Sounds about right, Soon have it sorted out I am sure. Any questions or problems there are quite few RV guys who are willing to help.

Hi John
Nice to see another RV owner. I know all about indicator stalks. I have a spare new one if you want to stay with original, I am most of the way with a total rewire (check my posts) and I have decided to stay away from clusters.
Look forward to hearing how you get on.
