Hi Tony. Not seen any available for ages. Might be best to make a pair, not too difficult to do with a basic frame, (alloy or wood) and alloy skin, simple catches etc.

Hi Tony. I'm with Peter on this one. My RV actually came with doors (unfitted) when I bought it, but I wasn't taken by their styling much. I then saw a Hummer in a children's car book and realised what kind of doors I wanted :-) These should be a fairly straight-forward build using, say, 9mm exterior ply for the main flat door panel (cheap in places like Wickes) with timber (4x1 or similar) used for the main external structural sections as shown in the photos. This way you will know that they'll fit (mine wouldn't have without some serious tweaks to the screen angle and hardtop, for instance) and can be as complex or as simple in design as you wish. For instance, the windows could be as simple as glued-in flexible PVC panels, or as complex as having an aluminium frame insert to take to take a couple of sliding 6mm Polycarbonate panels - the parts for this are available from kit and classic-car parts suppliers. I'd even bookmarked suitable-looking hinges for this on eBay, but darned if I can find them now - similar design to those in the Hummer, and plastic-bodied. I'll post when I find them. Finally you can finish your doors in a number of ways. First of all, soak them in timber preservative like Everbuild Lumberjack. Then you can either paint them with a quality paint such as Bedec's Barn paint - say using a stipple technique to give a texture to cover the wood grain - or else skin them in vinyl. Or a bit of both - skin the flat panels, and texture-paint the skeleton frame. That's my plan anyhow - once I get around to it... :-(

I can see that plan coming together, using ply as the main frame with 3D inserts is a great idea, light and very strong and easy to work with, as you know my center consul is ply as is the rear bulkhead in front of the triumph fuel tank. .
Those Hummer hinges look the bollocks but I'm sure mini door hinges would look OK too.
Looking forward to seeing some results.

I've 2 pairs of doors for the last 20 years behind my garage. If I had £5 for everyone that wanted them L'd retire... Seems people want but never come and buy them!

That reminds me of the tail; Couple put a sofa on the front lawn with a notice, "Free to a good home", but no one took it. so they put a new sign on it, "$200" it disappeared overnight. I would have thought that if those doors were OK and on the forum in the 'for sale' section they should go.
