hi. in 1995 year one man buy him in england and go to russia. Next time Eagle stopped on garage, and we buy him on 2007. Body and suspension in normal condition, but engine broken. We hope restore on beautiful condition early spring 2009, and now think, what engine swap on him.

Hi Alexei, Nice looking car with out too much work needed. As it is a Ford Cortina based car any Ford engine including the 2.8Ltr V6 will go in with a bit of work but you can put almost any engine/gearbox combination in with a lot more work. Have fun and keep us up to date please. Peter in Spain

The good thing about the Ford Sierra/Cortina engine is they are easy to fix or replace. A nice strong/mildly tuned 2 ltr OHC is enough to make this car hustle ;D

Hoy! Not a lot wrong with Ladas that a complete rebuild won't fix. I had two Nivas. A MkI on which the transfer shaft joints failed and the brakes were rubbish and a MkII Cossack, (this was the one pimped up by Lada UK with Vauxhall trim alloys etc) on which they changed the U.Js for CVJs, and they failed, but this time it chucked all the graphite grease all over the underside, this was just before the pulley fell off of the crankshaft, the alternator bracket broke and the carburator fell apart. I replaced the carb with a Weber, the points for contactless and tuned it up and it still did 20mpg. so I bought a Suziki Vitara. These things are sent to try us
