Can anybody advise me on where to look for the chassis number. I'm having trouble finding it for the DVLA form to register the car in my name.
My eagle has a ford 2L pinto engine and I think all the running gear is also ford. So presuming that it is a ford chassis. Would the body shell be covering it?
I have the number plates and the DVLA site has the car registerd as an eagle. So it must have a number somewhere.

After much hunting I can not find a chassis number anywhere on my eagle SS and have now come to the conclusion it doesn't have one. Which is a shame as its required field on the application form to register the car in my name. After speaking to the DVLA, they said it would be OK to send the application form in and add a letter explaining the missing details. Letter now in the post, lets see if I get a V5 or if the boys in blue call round to do a spot check?

I never had a chassis number stamped on my rv, Eagle sent a ally chassis plate with the number on which was self adhesive and I think you were suposed to stamp that no on to the chassis yourself ! good luck with dvla

Interestingly, my recently acquired SS has a riveted ali plate on the chassis rail by the nearside front suspension and a self adhesive sticker in the boot, each one with a different number

V5?
Wish I had one of those.
Sadly the car came with no paperwork and reg no was made up to match the initials of a previous owner and isn't listed by the DVLA.
I'm fairly sure it has been on the road at some time as its well sorted & has all the necessary bits & pieces to be street legal. I've posted the chassis number (both of them) in the hope that someone here can shed some light on its history. Otherwise I may have to go down the SVA route (obviously I'd rather not).

;D ;D Yipeee!!! The V5 log book has landed. No fuss, no further forms to fill in, Nothing! What nice DVLA people to send it to me. My Chassis number is made up of three letters and three numbers. .....So that's another tick off the long list of jobs to do. Best be getting myself one of those VIN plates from the shop site next. Hmm....just added another job to the list
