Did anyone else watch this?
It was great ;D
I was a bit puzzled at the start as to why the phone voting phone lines opened so early (before anyone had danced
). Then I realised it was so that the Eastern block peeps could all vote for each other & then go to the pub without having to bother to watch the competition!
Brief was that each dancing couple had to do a dance native to their country............interesting!
As each couple was called we tried to guess the dance, as you do
. We got it wrong every time!
Sweden we clearly expected to dance to ABBA........Nope - I think it was Disco Inferno!
Finnish we expected reindeer horns & a vodka bottle.........we got two goths
Germany we expected either goosestepping or springtime for hitler..........dunno why that never happened!
Polish, my mate was hoping for pole dancing.........we got a cross between a rhumba & a samba, which I believe are actually native to Cuba & Brazil.
Austria we were hoping for them to dress in Lederhosen & do the slapping dance to the sound of an ooompah band. Instead this land locked country gave us their dance version of Pirates of the Caribbean
Denmark I gather is famous for pigs & pornography. Fortunately they didn't choose to act this out in the dance contest. (My friend was left feeling both frustrated & disappointed by this!)
