Thanks Graham. I hope to have my RV on the road again by late April ( after 2+ years fixing a lot of problems! ). This has given me more encouragement. With a dollop of luck I hope to be at Stoneleigh in the RV on Monday 2nd. Please put my name down for a place on the stand and I'll do my very best not to let you down. Thanks. Dave.

Mine may still be on a trailer ( SS ) as Ive been rather ill these past 3 years. then I bought a house, then my mom died early last year, and got to renovate her house as well, before selling, ( it's a flat and service charges are high, ) and I don't live there, but I now own it, and the horders, neglected house I bought, and I fell on my back a year ago, and still not recovered, and 7 vehicles to get fixed / start / finish / maintain / bring 2 back to original condition before they degrade too much, and 2 - V8 - 7,530 cc engines to remove and recondtion........the list is endless, Oh, and trying to boost membership. Threatening the previous club membership Sec with litigation to return membership cards, accounts, and money, and having to inform the Police of their actions............... It's all go here, and trying to save the club as well.
If I had not injured my back, the SS would have been finished by now.
So if you are not able to bring your RV, we all understand, but none of us can afford to let vehicles slowly deteriate, and thanks for your valued effort in trying to get to Stoneleigh.
about the rambleing essay above, but at least I have an excuse for not getting the SS ready, and have the major operation scars on my chest, from my Adams Apple to my groin from 2 operations, ( Tripple Heart by pass, and tripple A in stomach, ) without which I would have died, has left me weak, but I am a survivor, I push hard at what ever I do, and take no sh-1t from anyone and as I say to others, what's your VALID excuse ? - forget Sky sports, replays, netflix, face-space and my-book, twitter etc, and get busy on the Kit car.
My apologies again, it just all came out........ but will leave it on here. Saves telling everyone I see.
Graham.

Wow! Makes me see my minor aches and pains in a different light. I won't complain about them again. Good luck to you Graham and I look forward to meeting up with you at Stoneleigh.

Thanks for the new club plan, Graham. I took my RV on a 150 mile road test yesterday. Still quite a few jobs remaining to do but it's roadworthy and driveable ( with a few issues for which allowances have to be made ). I shall bring it to the show early on 2nd. May. Will there be a place for my RV on the club stand? Thanks. Dave.

We will see how many turn up, after myself and Peter shouted at forum members for not getting their cars on the road since year 2019. 2020 was cancelled, two tuned up for 2021, so thats 3 years people sould have got them ready. People don't always state they will require a space on the stand. They just turn up. It's not yet been a problem turning people away.
Sunday, the gates open at 9:30 am, and follow the signs to kit car entrance. ( not the normal parking signs )
For the first time, kit cars entering the show must now pay £ 5 entrance fee, Plus for a pasenger ( £ 15 per passenger- but check the info for passengers in kit cars )
If you are running a pre 1986 / 1990 engine ( most are ) you need zinc rich NONE synthetic engine oil. and change it every 12 months- regardless.
My Lincolns use 15/30 - 15/40 pic' below.
See you Monday - I'm the one with the with the Doc Brown ( back to the future ) hair style ( and a yellow I.D hanging from my neck )

Just a word to anyone camping at Stoneleigh this weekend. Its the begining of May and from previous experience can get very cold in the evening and colder at night, don't underestimate it take good warm clothing and bedding and then double up lol. A couple of years ago we awoke to find ice on the roof of a Nova parked across the way. If you are there for Saturday night we have a trip into Leamington Spa for a "few" drinks and a curry. See you there.

I can vouch for the cold, in 2006 I stayed in Jon's 10 man army tent and even with the tent full of snoring, belching and farting people it was so cold I got into the car and drove around at 6 in the morning with the heater on full blast until about 08:00. I was a lovely sunny day from then on.
