Yes Peter it looks solid so far so I hope covid levels are stable at the time. looks like Newark is on too in July. As for car attendances we will have to see what turns up. For me, I have had severe arthritis in my hands for the last 10 months and have no grip or strength, Im gutted as I'm halfway through changing the engine and drive train ! But, new treatment is on the horizon so I'm determined to get it roarworthy again.

Be carefull bud,,,dont make things worse. Thanks, but just need a weeks work on Eagle ss, and the best mechanic I found ( old school, knows what he is doing ) i employed earlier due to no strength from previous operation, cost £ 50 per hour at my home, and 7 hours a day x 7 days will be £ 2450 ! ! ! Not cost effective, or financially viable. So .................. best get better soon, or if anyone near southport wants £ 70 per day, let me know.

Could you please let me know who is going as space is very limited this year. And if we can squeeze a couple of homeless Nova cousins in it would be good too. I said it would be OK before I knew it was such a small plot.

Unfortunately, my back is still healing ( next door had a similar problem, and it took them a year to fully recover ) I'm 7 months in to my fall, so no, Eagle ss not touched. I managed to stick an SS badge on the back, and that was enough, kneeling down to get central ( x + y )
So no, no progress, AND moving house, and having to build - ( or have built ) a workshop to house all vehicles ( 8 ) Will be there without SS.

Feel for you man, in 1966 I was flipped off of my girlfriends scooter and landed on my back, fractured the sacrum and a massive haematoma on the spin, couldn't walk, I mean like NO LEGS for a month and months of fizzio after that, OK now half a century later still get a bit of sciatica. . Plenty of fizzio, it's the only way,

Thanks for the concern from Peter and Terryrob, and we all know the debilitating effect we have that stop our plans.
SUGGESTION . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Plot 59d is a GOOD place to be, as many will be going to the indoor area and going past the stand, unlike previously us and members being at the furthest edge of the grounds.
This will be an opportune time to get some signs up, pictures of R.V.s, SS's and some basic details that they are VW or ford. I say SS pics and not many been there recently.
Piece of plywood would do. -- anything.
AND members / cars on the stand to put some basic info on A4 paper inside windscreen, with brief info E.G. Custom chasiss ( if ford ) // 1600 air cooled twin port VW // Porsche rear engine, Alfa engine / Ford 2000 twin webbers ( 4 carbs ) etc etc. Otherwise those in the know will only say "Oh those are just crap power 1300 beetles - nothing to see here" ( Nothing to read to educate them )
Others may be saying "These R.V.s are much bigger than the Jagos, lets go see what they are"
PROMOTE THE SITE, THE CLUB.

Well said that man, Thanks ram for posting that, it will be interesting to see what transpires on the day. Below picture is what I put on my cars It's half a sheet of A4 paper. Why yellow ? Because the most vibrant; clean; stands out; easy to read etc, is black text on yellow background.
Similar to below go on ANY cars I take to shows, and for eagle owners, it should be mandatory.
A bit too much infomation on mine, but shows, without asking, it's maintained, started regularly, and I KNOW what oil to use in a 44 year old engine, and why it has to be changed every 6 to 12 months AND it has to have oodles of zinc in it. ( Classic oil or Deisel engine oil ) click to see full size Just for info. -- 1976 eagles and Lincoln Have to use none-ethanol petrol, ( Esso Synergy super unleaded 99 octane, contains A )zero: B) or E5 of 5% instead of E10 with 10% All depends on the location of the Esso station - ( Lincoln runs on 82 octaine if was available ) and zinc rich engine oil..
ethanol destroys alloy carbs and rubber, AND dont store ethanol in tank for more than 12 months because it absorbs water, which not only rots your tanks, also attacks rubber diaphrams, cork and plastic floats, and fuel lines in older cars.
see ....

I doubt a reservation is needed mate, looking at the info on here there won't be many cars turning up including mine. It will however be great to see you there and I hope I am proven wrong. it will be a great weekend whatever.

stoneleigh2021 Some photos.
Johns RV ( V6 I think ) Mark's rear transverse Lancia engine, shown because it's a good conversion. and stonemark.jpg = some attendies.
Turn out ( cars ) was poor, BUT the Novas stand was empty, and just one nova in the show, somewhere else. They normally have 8 cars there : So we were not the only patch with deminshed cars. if link does not work, then copy and paste. www.hisautos.com/stoneleigh2021/sl2021.html
( Use a REAL computer if you want decent sized pics.)
updated 20/09/2021 updated 5/10/2021 ( hisautos.com/stoneleigh2021/sl2021.html changedfrom .htm )

It is always a pleasure to see Mark's SS, One of the first I saw when I first had mine in 1996,show and beautifully done and maintained. A credit to you Mark..
Terrible shame not more cars considering the number being worked on for years and we had nearly 18 months since the last one and we had a great stand location. (Thanks Gary).
Nicely turned out RV too, thanks John for making the effort. Better turnout next year, PLEASE.

What you all missed at the Stoneleigh-Kit-car-show-2021 - link below
Also apparently, there were 3 Novas over the weekend, which is about the right ratio over Eagle SS. + R.V's ( 3 to 1 )
So lets get ON THE MAP, exposed, have a "presence", as that may also increase sale prices if more people see them. All that hard work and expence, just seizing up in the Garage.
So get to the next show. No excuses. I have had 2 major operations, from which not many people survive, and a back injury now, so I have an excuse --- what's yours ? -- so work on your eagle every Sunday for 10 months - that's 336 Hours ( assuming 42 sundays ) ( If sent to a garage to finish, that would be £ 16800 )
Anyway, see www.hisautos.com/stoneleigh2021/sl2021.html and click on Stoneleigh-Kit-car-show ( 74 Mb )
And no, it's not my video, I used to be young and handsome, but now I'm not so young.
