Hi George, welcome to the forum, I'm new here myself and recently bought an RV to try to bring back to life. Unfortunately I don't have the parts your looking for, but looking for parts for my own. Where are you based? Did you join the Eagle Owners FB group? Regards Pedro

Welcome aboard, nice to hear an Eagle is on the road, 90% of ours are not, stored, ignored or 'work in progress'. You may find parts popping up on here but mostly it will be 'DIY', learn a whole new bunch of skills too.
Just a reminder that I can not include cars I do not have details of, so post me a message or email so I can add it on.

Thanks for your responses I'm in Bradford West Yorkshire. It's a shame there are not many on the road does anyone know how's many where built are they rare? Also the value I'm not wanting to sell but was unsure if I had insured for enough as I guessed the value any information would be much appreciated. Also what sort of information do you need to add it on.

Looking at the register and show attendances I would say a lot more RVs are about, on and off road, than any other model of Eagle. I know there were about 680 SSs made of all 6 configurations but RVs not sure as there were also a few made by Pilgrim and another firm. although more may have been sold due to the more utilitarian aspect of the car many were scrapped for the same reason and for their Ford components to Cortina restorers. (same applies to the SS and 2+2 for Ford and VW parts).

Here you go.. There is an arm and two post. The offside post hinges the arm, while the other is the stay that it fastens to. Each has three bolts which fasten it onto the top of the rear chassis member.

If you could do a rough sketch with the dimensions on it would be great, then members could make their own from it, I would be happy to do a more technical drawing from a rough sketch for publishing on the 'technical' page of the EOC web site..

OK, here is a sketch of the spare wheel holder. I realised when I was measuring mine up that it had been modified for the larger wheels and tyres that were fitted. The sketch is for the original carrier, without its modification (the extra plate and brace that were grafted on). I've measured it as accurately as I could, but the sketch is not to scale!!

The sketch has been included on the 'Technical page' of the E.O.C. web site. Many thanks for taking the time and effort to do it, duly accredited.

Not sure about this, George, but the difficulty may be that you have the 5 speed box. Originally, the RV had the old 4 speed. I think I remember reading somewhere that some modification was required to fit a 5 speed.
Of course, I could be totally wrong!
John.

No, you are right, I believe Chaz had the same problem when he went sierra donor on his SS, (same chassis). 'just' a case of moving the mounting brackets, out with the angle grinder and welder.

Great info on the spare wheel carrier, I could have done with it a while ago lol. Gromm wanted one so I designed and made one for him. His car had a tube welded through the rear bumper / chassis for a pivot to bolt through. Mine wasnt quite correct but worked fine.

Many including myself have cut out the offending bit of chassis. I keep meaning to replace it with a bolt on section.
