I'm busy working out and gathering a few things prior to starting my Eagle/Discovery project (as soon as I start constructing, I'll start a thread!) One of the things I was looking at was a heated windscreen, instead of an ineffective blower. I've contacted a company who make bespoke screens. As always, the more that you buy, the cheaper they get, so would anyone else out there be interested in a heated screen? Five would be the ideal number. They would then cost just over £200 each including the vat, but excluding the fitting materials. I'm told lead time can take a while: 3 months plus. Let me know if you would be interested, and if there is enough interest I'll progress this further.

chamois leather cloth £5. works well. or any dry cloth. secret is to always keep window clean, and from smoke, etc.
Saved you £ 195. You have a kit car, and you will NEVER get your money back on fitting extras.

A great idea, I believe there are two version of RV screen so need to make sure on height.
After cleaning, rub some Fairy liquid onto the screen and then polish off, no mist. old diving trick.

Before ordering ANY type of Eagle windscreen, check for sag. From memory, the bulkhead on the RV sags. The top of the roof sags on eagle SS on early models.
So if going to order a new screen, take old one out first, clean ALL gunge / sealant off everything. then offer up your old / original screen and see if the aperture has sagged. You will soon find out when the glass wont go back in properly.
Don't order a screen to fit a sagged / distorted body, as it was the screen that stopped it sagging even more than it had done. Fairy liquid = yes, but very watered down. I carry a small mini wiper blade to get the water off, if its soaking wet, even for my normal cars. Going out in it just a short run, car just starts getting warm, heats up interiors slightly, but not enough miles / or blower time to remove water from airborne particles = soaking wet front screen this time of year in the mornings sometimes. ( always after a short run to the shops and back the day before. )
