Hi Folks, Firstly thanks for letting me join the forum. I'm Staffs/Shropshire border based, acquired this car after hanging on for 5 years plus. Basic details are: Registered as Volkswagen, April 1972, VW1200 engine.. Fibreglass body...but as yet, I haven't seen another with the rectangular indicators on the outside edge of the wings and VW rear light clusters. Bodywork OK ish, metalwork.. yet to be fully investigated. It won't get started on for a few months due to other commitments, but it's under cover in my shed now... I look forward to nay help and advice if folks are so kind, but I shall keep tuning in here as all very interesting 'stuff' Many Thanks,Titch

Welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy being a member of this crazy bunch of Eagle enthusiasts. You will certainly find all the help and advice, wanted or not, on here. You RV is actually rather a rare one, not many VW based Eagle RVs about, a few SSs but not RVs, as most have been chopped up for their VW parts. First bit of advice, do not get any grand ideas, stay simple and limit work to dressing up and possible engine mods, (1641cc is possible without too much money or engineering work.) keep us posted, we love photos too. regards Peter

Hi Peter, Thanks for the reply, and indeed comments noted..I see it as quite rare yes. The plan is, over time, get it running again, do the brakes etc and check all out especially 'underneath' I will at some stage look towards MOT for it and indeed prefer to have it MOT'd despite exemption status. I shall, when I get to it start a photographic record if only for my own interests, but will indeed add them here too. I'm not too expectant as regards a concourse restoration, paint colour change yes, but I've always liked the air cooled VW 'sound' stock is OK at this stage..but it will be a learning curve working on the bodywork I must be honest. Can you advise how I add it to the register please too, I think it would be of interest on there, yes? I'm OK with computers in my own work..but not otherwise too 'Techno Titch' I'm afraid. Many Thanks again, Titch Sanders

Seems your thread has been hacked, I am getting unsolicited adverts on it from guests, I delete them but I would suggest you change your log in password as a start.
