Looking forvthecred one, i found a black one. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264641970033I dont know much about either. Think the red one has been on there a while, its from a big auction house. The black one looks like a good project, although needs a complete rebuild. I think they both have vw floor pans but no aircooled vw engines.

The red eagle. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SS-Eagle-gull-wing-kit-car/193348474864?hash=item2d047797f0:g:0-0AAOSwkkxeQIw6Looking at the photos, The body is as it was delivered from the factory. Remember, the body includes all the following factory fitted.. all Glass, doors, door fittings, dashboard, wiper motor and spindle, pantograph wiper arme (one) and wiper blade: headlamp pods, pop up headlight motor and linkages, door rubbers ( fitted to body ):Bonnet and boot lid, all locks, and bare chassis. This eagle has not had the body touched since it left the factory, so a blank canvas. Series III with own chassis. you need to find the interior roll bar ( from seller ) and 2 stays that go back to the chassis, and fuel tank, and stg. column etc.

The red one certainly looks as it is an untouched body so no need to repair previous cock ups, needs headlight pods cutting out to fit std, 7" units but the rest is very good. obviously needs going back to square one but nothing difficult or too expensive.
Internal cage not needed on MkIII, option only, unlike MkI which had one instead of built in metal frame.
At that price or even double, it's a steal BUT it looks like no V5c, so will need a test, whatever the bloody thing is called these days. The black one is already on a Q plate so good to go.
The black one, whilst looking like a more complete car is a LOT of work and seriously messed with, just look at those doors, the boot is horrible to accommodate the engine that will definitely need a complete overhaul or replacement and the interior is a total mess. Also it is a VW chassis with all the possible floor pan rust problems. I would go for the red one every day but it will need an IVA, BIVA, Beaver, what ever..

If you're after an Eagle I would consider selling my 2+2. Unfortunately it's on the never ending list. Message me if you want details.

Black one says sold on ebay, might be worth contacting seller to see if it actually did.

The Eagle thats for sale on ebay doesnt seem to bad but the windscreen was putting me off Not sure about the fitting of the windscreen but auction has just over 6 hours to go with no bids. At £400 its a steal and benefits from having a log book. If I didn't already own one as well as my VW Nova and MK4 Supra I would definitely go for this one as it looks like its in very good shape. Shame I lost my workshop under a compulsory order as wouldn't have thought twice about it.

Deafening silence!
Having the donor log book is great, it requires one to change certain particulars with Swansea but making changes in name and four to 2 seats is easy. getting through the BIVA because it's without a logbook is the bugger. Donor V5c good, Q plate good no reg at all, very bad.
Windscreens are easy to fit using commercial screen mastic, couple of big suckers to hold it with and some tape to hold it in place so it doesn't slip down whilst setting. mask off and pant with border paint or thinned mastic to give black edge first and if you want to go totally 'pro', you can get rubber edging strip that fits on the outer edge of the screen and covers the surrounding mastic too.
Cracked screens, if not totally smashed, can be fixed with glass repair fluid, a derivative of super glue.

I did see a 1983 ford based Eagle ss on facebook selling site. It has got a V5. I think it has no engine but has been on the road at some point. It is in wales.
Actually there are 2 eagles on there. One is a 1984 and the other is a 1986 and both have a V5. If I had the time I would buy one of these and then use the unregistered red body on ebay along with the engine and windscreen. This body looks very good and could be carefully transferred to one of the chassis on the cars on facebook.

To the owner who toiled and sweated building it. Priceless!

I think we need pictures or atleast a summary of what the car is built from to give any idea of its value.
Old kitcars dont really have a standard value like for instance an old escort would have. They appeal to a much smaller market and every car is different.
I would guess any eagle SS with a valid V5c and an MOT should have a value starting around £1000. Price goes up with the quality of finish and parts used.

Very true and of course it's only worth what a buyer is prepared to pay.
I wouldn't let mine go for less that 7K as it is, incomplete trim, but the engine alone is 4K in parts plus work.
Finding that mad keen buyer who really wants it (and the car is worth it,) is very difficult. but, starting price has proved to be 400, no engine, no trim, cracked screen, etc to 12k sold into Europe where prices are higher but regulations are much stiffer on kit cars and hard to register in another country, (like me and mine in Spain).
A nice, ready to drive car in nice condition should fetch a minimum of 4K all day long.
