Thanks Rich, that's put me on the spot.........just need to beat photo bucket into submission and I'll say "Hi" properly, but I've aquired a Disco based 3.9l RV 4x4. She's Taxed and MOT'd and on the road, so a bit of tinkering but that's where she's staying. Think she may be new to your register as well.

That is fantastic. Do you know where those arch extensions can be purchased by any chance???

And do you by any chance have any pictures of the underneath and particularly how the body fits on the chassis and where it touches? Did they lengthen the body or shorten the chassis?

Hi Jamman, I believe the arch extensions are the GRP ones sold for wranglers - plenty on ebay at the moment, mine are the 7inch ones. The body tub is pretty much standard and it's the chassis that's been shortened, and i guess the rear prop shaft. Body mounts are slightly modified disco ones, also seems to have a good portion of the disco bulkhead used as a lot of the front wiring goes to factory sockets and the servo mount and pedal mounts all look original. She also uses a wrangler TJ roll cage and a wrangler Bestop soft top. She's sat on 33-12.5-15 mud terrains on 10 x 15 rims so the jeep floor is about mid thigh height, scary as the disco suspension is currently stock.
let me know what pics you need.

Sudden internet failure!! I will continue :-) I am planning to put it on a Frontera sport chassis, but your Rangie/disco based one looks great and all options are still open to me. I just thought from measuring both my classic rangie and my Frontera that the Frontera/Isuzu chassis seemed to be more of a dimensional fit judging by where the body would naturally meet the chassis. The main chassis rails under the floor are shallower on the Fronty too and I thought that may look better. However, yours looks amazing. I remember seeing a 'factory' rangie based one and thought it looked awful at the time because the shell seemed to just sit on top of a very deep chassis and there seemed to be space between the chassis and the body which just made it all look worse. But yours appears to have overcome that and it has transformed the look. Clearly a very well built and thought out one off. I love it. So it is pictures particularly of the way the shell is fitted to the chassis and lowered on to it that interest me to be honest if at all possible as I have a spare Rangie rolling chassis so this could get interesting quickly!

I think the ride height looks amazing. I guess it may be a little stiff on the road with standard spring rates though. But that is easily remedied. Not too expensive to get custom rate springs made and far better than cutting down the exiting ones which will just make the ride even harder. I think your car out Jeeps a Jeep in looks, quality and performance no doubt and will probably out do it off road too. You will be able to keep up with the hybrid off road boys with your Eagle once the springs are sorted if that is your thing cos your overall weight must be very low compared to a Disco or Rangie.

If you look in the EOC web site 'past events' there are quite a few RV that look amazing including a couple of very hairy 4x4, wonder where they are now?
