Hello, What are you winter plans for your RV? I have brought a dual diaphragm 10" vacuum servo to hopefully give the modern brake feel. New seats, cheap second hand universal bucket seats but in great condition and the old leather ones are a bit of a let down, and with out harnesses I keep sliding off. I also want to replace the steel chequer plate parts (floor foot Wells and side steps) which I think with the seats will save 60-70kg. I also found an air horn on amazon for under a tenner so well swap out the rather pathetic ford one. I will probably only get round to the horn. As it is hopefully a 10 min job

hi I know what you mean about the brakes they are a bit slow in reaction I was given from a mate a remote servo 10" unit but I'm not 100% sure it will do as I think this would only assist a back or front and not the full system .I have got seats out of a rover 45 thanks to the advice on here made life a bit easy ill need to check out the air horn thing under a £10 now that's a bargan

Just a few bits and bobs then delbert and on the road again, Great. Making great progress. Glad to hear you're getting over the knee opp, after 2 medial cartilage removals, (NEVER allow them to do that, it's a few years away from arthritis and new knees), 5 arthroscopes, and a left knee replacement I know what you mean .

I hope knees are getting better! And that you have a ramp! :-) A little update, I fitted the new diff mount (Ali billet with poly bushes) and the air horn. Not had a test drive but hopes are high. The horn is great, not that loud but a nice low tone. Hope to start on the servo soon.

What a difference! The jeep is very diffrent for the diff bush! More precise, better controlled less roll, more predictable, better traction on pulling away on corners, it has even appeared to have helped what felt like a bit of slack in the transmissio just about everything is better. Also very productive few days and swapped the servo. Only very short test, but feels very over assisted, and feels as sharp as a new cars brakes, so looking to spring the pedal a bit to give some feel, but very hopeful. For a 50 quid servo wish I had done it years ago! (From the original 7.5 inch to a dual 11 inch :-) )

Great new Doz, what a difference such a small part can make to the whole car.

So the new servo had to go! Coming off the motorway at around 70 and put my foot on the brakes resulted in all 4 wheels locking. After a change in trousers I have now ordered and fitted a 8inch dual servo. Should test tomorrow. Not sure what to do with the 11 inch dual now. Also started to swap out seats shop hopefully finish making the brackets tomorrow.

Beats the hell out of 'no brakes' . a smaller servo should do the job, 11" was way too big considering the weight of the car.

So now have a 8 inch dual. It seems to be OK, good enough to stop playing now. Setup is 8" dual, going into a land-rover master, split front going to Brembo 4 pots from fiat 20v on 300mm disks, the rear is single circuit but goes to willwood pressure reducer, then split to Sierra approx 9.5inch drums (2l auto).

Haven't tried mine on the road yet but twin Land Rover masters with bias bar into 4 pot Wilwoods on vented discs front and Bugpack disc at rear.
First time a jammed the pedal down the bloody thing jammed in the cylinder so I have to take the assembly off to free it. Whilst that is off I will 'reform' the padals to be wider and better suited to my size 10 boots. I will also make a new ¿ shape throttle pedal so I can fit a bias adjusting cable.
