When my jeep was moted last time the garage gave me the brake readout and it had the car axel weights on it, I was surprised how heavy I had made it ☺. Apparently it is 620kg on the front and 580 on the back, which seems far too heavy, it was full tank and driver. Does any one know what theirs weighs? I would love to corner weight it. I currently have 650lb springs in the front and 450lb in the rear. (cortina mk5 front and serria rear) and have messed with the damper rates so that it is ok, but I have the cheap gaz golds and so can only set bump and I think that the springs might be soft.

You sure that is Kg? The RV and the SS both weigh in at about 1,653Lbs ready to go,inc, fluids, spare etc. That reading of 1,100Kgs or 2,450Lbs is nearly double what it should be.
Weight balance is roughly 60/40 front rear, so at 1,634Lbs should be 490Lbs front and 330.6Lbs rear, each. At 2,450Lbs that would be, 735Lbs front and 490Lbs rear, each.
There is however a LOT more to determining the springs apart from the corner weight of the car and dampers, frequency and unsprung weight come into it too, just Google "car suspension calculations", and you'll see what I mean.

Yeah they are confident it is correct! I double checked. I have added a fair amount of weight but would love to be able to check. I have done some reading on the suspension, and I tried to calculate the spring rates initially, then figured it is not a sports car ☺. I am not sure it would be great at the elk test ?.
