Hi I bought an rv project before Christmas with no paperwork, iv filled in the form and sent off for a v5c but couldn't find a vin/chassis number. Now the dvla are giving me hassle because it's a kitcar I have the registration number and was last on the road in 2005 can anyone advise or help plz.

The chassis number should be on the left Hand side of the chassis in the engine bay on the section where it angles down to the main section (if that makes any sence)

Any luck finding the chassis number, Triker?
I think mine is on the actual front bumper - passenger side, top side, stamped in.

The problem is the DVLA store vehicle data by reg number not VIN ( Yeah,, STUPID!) so even if one has the VIN it isn't any good, it has to be the reg,
