That's great, hope we can get some cars on the site this year. I have said I am coming come hell or high water but a knee replacement in the next couple of months is looming and may bugger up my plans, I can't refuse the date they give me as it could set the opp back a long time before another date is available. I came to the 2006 show on crutches 6 weeks after the left knee replacement and I an still suffering with ACL pain so I really need longer than that to 'mend' before I push it into a couple of days walking about.

Good news Eddie, should see you there not sure if I will have the RV as I still have engine problems and even more pressing I have a work van that's off the road at the moment and I need that fixed so all spare time is being used on that.

I know how you feel Gary, works van has to come first, but at least you'll have the Jagos there hopefully.
I'm also expecting my Spartan back from the spray shop in a couple of weeks, so have to out that back together before Stoneleigh too, bringing both up, with the help of a driver.
See you there :-).

Good question, I still hope hope to be coming and I'll be in Cheltenham all weekend but only one day at the show, so Sunday or Monday? Looks like if there going to be any eagles there it will be RVs, hope at least one SS or 2+2 gets there also.

Been gone and done it. Booked flights and car for 1st to 4th May and on-line ticket for the Sunday/Monday.
I will be there on Sunday if anyone is interested. I'll try to be around the Eagle and Nova sites as much as possible but I only have one day and I already have a few things to do there. See ya there or be square, (so 70s)
So who else is coming and when?

Helen and I should be there all weekend.
I am hoping to get the RV there but I am yet to start it after it current rebuild as it was still very smoky after I changed the stem seals, so went to town, striped it! new pistons, rings, bearings the lot including getting the valve seats sorted (unleaded conversion) So as long as I get time to start it I will be bringing it along.

Shaun, to say this but, if you watched any TV, eat a meal or slept a few hours, then you had time to fix at least one, all a matter of priorities, not to have seen you there, see you next year, if there is a show next year of course. In fact not to have seen a lot more members there, If I can make it 1,500 miles I was hoping some more could have made it a couple of hundred, even in their normal cars. I arrived Sunday about 11:00 after a 2 hour cross country drive from west of Hereford area following a drive up from Cheltenham and saw we had a couple of RVs on the stand which was good. A stroll over to the Club Nova guys and a warm welcome from the Euro-Nova guys and galls and especially Bushboy, David, (islandman, from Singapore) arrived, and Dan (Bobbybrown) with the ex-Steve McHughs white Nova arrived on a truck having conked out half way, Alex, David and myself descended on the problem and soon saw the starter connection were are shambles of melted plastic, heated metal and no contact so off it came and Alex and David cobbled a solution to make a solid temp' repair with a self tapper and a washer and a bit of wood and it started, removing the air 'filters' exposed a sodden mess so they were removed and the plugs cleaned and it fired up on all four and after a blast of the throttle chimed in on all four and ran quite well, the tick Dan described earlier had gone too so of home without incident. Bushboy was extremely proud of his new RED rocker cover for the V6 engine in the Purvis Eureka, did make a difference to the look. They had 5 of the 8 cars expected turn up. good show. Jason was next door on the All Car Club stand (no cars though) said hi and we agreed to have a meet again in Spain next time he is down my way. Gary, Helen, Terry were there in their cars, Jagos etc and campers. The AGM was a case of, "Anyone else want to do the job?, No, OK we continue as is, seemed to be the standard in most clubs with very little new blood coming up.. Allen, WhiteEagleRv, (FRV83) turned up with his white RV and the home made rear cover, bit Hummer in appearance but very well done and functional, also the modifications to the front and rear wings to pass the SVA are great and very well done that man. Unfortunately the total score for the weekend was just the three RVs on the Sunday and two Monday, at least better than last year and no SSs, etc, so thanks to you guys for the effort Monday morning Novas

Don't forget that I was there too, in the red RV, having been up since 6am getting my other car ready for the show, and then spending time getting the RV ready for the show, Worked hard to get the car there, oh well, if not appreciated, Spartan, next year !

I know you where there as was Trike and the rest but I didn't want to steel any ones thunder as I assumed you would all be doing your own blogs of the show, I did post a photo of your very nice RV. To those who did show up with or without their Eagle, well done, it is appreciated. I was very not to have met you all as to have come all that way and not seen you is disappointing for me but I cannot be just in one place for two days, I did have half a dozen other plots and stands I had to see people on too. My knees where screaming by lunch on Sunday and I spent half that night in agony but still came back Monday morning. What was disappointing was the increase in empty club plots and those that were occupied were definitely down on numbers. looking at the last show I did in 2006 I would say nearly a 50% drop and the 'for sale' shed was empty! The stalls in the hall were all the same ones from years ago, nothing new and it was like stepping back in time to 2006, In the other hall there as nothing really new or causing a buzz unless it was well out of the financial reach of most KIT car enthusiasts and the direction is definitely towards re-skinning cars like the MR2 etc so avoiding the SVA.

I was rather hoping there would have been a few 'blogs' on the show and some more photos by now. Come on guys, you can't leave everything to me..
