Shame we don't have anyone with the wherewithal to buy, store and produce these parts, we have already 'lost' the SS moulds to someone who doesn't seem to have done anything with them in 5 years. Wouldn't it be great if we had a set up like the MG owners club or even the guy who restores Bond Bugs.

Peter i'd be interested in going in on a deal with you if we could come to an agreement and if the demand is there?

You're absolutely right, in Belgium I have a number of molds of Belgian Sand buggies, The Apal, once people know that it is possible to get new pieces for the restoration of there car it becomesa lot easier, I got my diploma's for polyster work because before I worked a lot in the boat world. The pieces I sell at cost, it is still a hobby, I have even give a few workshops on the restoration of polyster bodies. Regarding the price of these molds, at least as they are in good condition, that is certainly not too high, making molds yourself is expensive. For the Eagle I will certainly make molds of the front bonnet and doors, I now have several eagles, but each eagle there are peaces that are bad or missing. I do not know the members of the Eagle Forum well enough, but if there are any questions about working with polyester molds or purchase of materials to wholesale prices ou can always ask it. It looks like i come more and more in the UK so we find a possibility to bring something or make it. Only fair i had already some help from people off the forum also.

That's the problem, lack of demand, a couple of panels or even one complete car a month, (and that is well optimistic, so unlike me), wouldn't make it worth while, even if one combined ALL the Eagle, SS, RV and Nova resources I doubt there would be enough for much more than a break even hobby, certainly not enough to fund an industrial unit, (rent, electric, water, phone, council tax, insurance, some income for stuff like food).

I know at least when it came to molds for the eagle, that I would take them, the RV '( ) is not really my thing.

What a brilliant fellow you are, DIY! Clearly going to be a real asset to the Eagle world What's your proper name - assuming you weren't christened 'DIY'?

I don't know if Luc wants to say, If anyone knows where the SS moulds are and according to Tim Naylor he sold them to a guy in Wexford and the only Wexford I can find is in Ireland, in which case Whitehill industrial estate would be my guess! Locating them might be a problem, nothing has been heard of them since, I will try and email Tim and see if he still has details we can chase. The RV moulds are a bit of a mystery as Tim said they may have been taken by bailiffs from his ex business partner but again they may have been spirited away before that happened, Tim seems reluctant to go deeper into it. There are at least two RV versions about as far as I know plus one for the range rover/4x4. but only ONE set for the SS (MkIII, VW and Ford)

Nothing brilliant to, it is a passion, the biggest problem for most people is to repair or creating pieces, and that's just something that I can do. And my real name is Luc born in 1961 in a smal village in Belgium (d**n... that long a go) and addicted to special vehicles, three of my own projects are already finished, and two are in the final phase. Additionally, there are already some projects from other forum members in the workshop finished. In the shed waiting there are 4 other projects to start, so I'll be busy for a while. The eagle will be the first after the 2 projects that are alomost finisched.

1961 Luc, so young (and talented) I'm born 1945 I have sent an Email to Tim Naylor, I don't know if I'll get an answer as he has had a rough time of it since 2006 and would probably prefer to put the whole Eagle thing behind him but here's hoping.

The RV moulds are a bit of a mystery as Tim said they may have been taken by bailiffs from his ex business partner but again they may have been spirited away before that happened, Tim seems reluctant to go deeper into it. Easter last year I was offered the RV moulds.....bloke called Richard Germany was selling them for offers in region of 5 grand sterling ....no sale!! IF and I do mean IF, they are production ready and include some parts and maybe a demonstrator that would be a good price, Tim paid about 2K for the SS ones and they needed a LOT of work. At least we know they are still out there, if they are the same ones, I have emailed Tim but get no reply, after the failure with Eagle SS moulds I would be surprised if he didn't shut off that part of his past, although he did say there might be a possibility of another attempt should things pick up, but after the article in Mad About Kit Cars from the organisers of Newark, I don't think so. I still think there might be a business in historical kit car parts and mouldings, but it would have to be across a broad spectrum of makes and not just Eagle and Nova for instance and cover parts as well, not just glass fibre panels.
