Evening fellow eagle nuts,
Work has finally commenced on the rv.
Rad is out and being back washed after finding a very stiff bottom hose with a build up of what can only be described as crap. New water pump arrived along with a new fuel pump. New thermostat with lower 82 degree opening temp, cambelt cover rubbed down to be re painted and thermostat housing.
Will get everything fitted next week. Looking for a manual choke conversion kit too for the dreaded vv (which incidentally I have managed to set up and get running perfect). Then need to order a handful of bushes for up front and a set of rear shoes. Then lastly sort the dam earthing issues.
She has had new motorcraft plugs, new leads, new points (setup properly with some feelers) and rotor arm and new dizzy. Timing setup correctly according to the Haynes manual too. She starts and runs a dream. Clutch is a little high but not too worried as the pinto will be out in a few months after the eagle meet.
