Got myself a lock up yesterday, not far away so easy access.
Always had the RV and Spartan on the drive covered in a blue tarp, not ideal.
At least this way I can keep the inside dry.
Also bought the paint for the new engine yesterday....well its a start!
7 months to get it ready....fingers crossed!

its amazing what you can do with a car in the confines of a lockup. that's what I do, my lockups about half a mile away ... but with a handy generator I can do most jobs down there

I used to have a lock up in town but expensive but at least I got work done, no interruptions and it had light and water. but at 200€ a month, (about 150 pounds back then). Then we got the house with double garage but I couldn't do any noisy or dusty/smelly work so it was very limiting and the Mercedes Cosworth clogged the place up anyway so little room to work. Now I have to travel 20 miles to my 90m2 workshop with power but only 140€ a month and I can use it as a storeroom as well and make as much noise, smell and dust as I want to, (there's even a folding bed if I get kicked out the flat). But due to the distance I get far less work done and my son-in-law is constantly stealing me to work on his BMW so I say, "do this and undo that and let me know when your done", then I bugger off and work on the Eagle until he says he's done it and I give him the next step to do, less done, but some.

My RV is tucked away in my barn. It's ideal, good lighting, power, no more than 20 yards from the house. . . . it's perfect. So why have I stuffed the place so full of crap that I can't even see the Eagle, let alone work on it? I need to take a serious look at myself! John

Sounds like my garage! Hoping that as the lock up is about a mile away stuff won't find it's way in there!!!!
Bit more rubbing down on the Spartan tonight, Saturday should see it ready for spray job....
That means work can start on the RV's new engine:-)

I keep adding to my garage, extra couple of meters, then fill that up add a bit more again. Then took over the conservatory but still need more space. Suggested to the other half we move the Kitchen and lounge upstairs so i can convert down stairs to garage space but i was offered the front door if i even got remotely close to trying it.
