Hi All
can anyone point me in the right direction to get some upper wishbone ball joints. One of mine has a split in the rubber and i think has now lost its grease.
Can the ball joint be changed by drilling out the rivets and replacing just the ball joint rather than getting the wishbone as well.
Also i seem to be only running on minus 2 cylinders(2.8 V6) could this be due to stuck/blocked injectors because its stood for a while.
thanks
Dave

New replacement cortina ball joints usually come with suitable nuts & bolts to fit them.I usually grind the heads of the old rivets with the angle grinder and knock them out.

available from ebay from around £20 ... complete top balljoint along with new bolts which will be needed once the old rivets are ground out Brett

with the engine I would try the easy things first like changing the spark plugs in case its a couple of dodgy ones causing the rough running ... possibly faulty HT leads too . easier checking them first than mucking about with injectors ... certainly worth a try

And if the plugs check out swap the injectors around too. hiss test on exhaust manifold to determine if a cylinder isn't running. (HISS test? Yep, once the engine is hot take a damp rag and touch the exhaust manifold near the head,( or spit on it) hiss, running, no hiss not running).
