O.K. let's start a list of who is going to make the effort and get to Stones this year, can't say you haven't had notice of it, it happens every year at Bank Holiday weekend. I am trying to get over but air fares have shot up recently and it would cost me £500 to come over for a few days but I really want to but the best I can do is badger members to get there this year. The past couple of years have been an embarrassment even in the light of rebuilds and the 'crisis' etc. so lets get there if only in the family eurobox. What is the situation with the clubs equipment by the way, tent, flag, banner etc, who has and who is taking and who's erecting?

I have all this equipment and they have been at stones every year ---- the flag and banner have always been displayed along with a notice board that I have made with various old Eagle promotional pictures.
Due to a clash caused by moving bank holiday dates I am Clerking a sprint on the saturday, but I will still arrive at stones 9pm ish with Rv, albeit trailered but it is running, It does't like towing the caravan from Cardiff - it appears all uphill.
The tent will be with me and as usual we( the people on site) will decide whether to erect tent or use a gazebo I have.
I would like to have committee members on site this year to sign up members/ answer questions ( we haven't for many Years !!) OR HOW ABOUT AN AGM ? and start moving forward !

That's great news Scorpio, many thanks for the effort, lets hope we have a good turn out. Anyone able to do 'sentry duty' at the plot please let us know, if only one person is there it make a huge difference.

It will be great if you could come for two days, people seem to come along when there isn't a car present and think there hasn't been any there. You will be very welcome. hi, I fully intend fetching the SS. sunday and maybe stay overnight

We try every year Peter and I hope this year will be a good un, but members have to come to make things happen. At club nova they have a good core of members that enjoy just meeting up, nothing speacial happens they just turn up. The more you turn up the more you may enjoy it. The few of us that do attend have agreat time with the other clubs, mainly Jago, Nova, All car and MEV.

Tuesday evening Rv was buried behind a pile of tyres in lock up where it had been since engine change a year ago. Climbed in through passenger door -- turned key to remove steering lock to find ignition and oil lights illuminated ........ cranked it over and the bloody thing started !!! drove it onto trailer, washed it tonight so ready for the weekend. Not going to tax it so it will arrive on the trailer. Hoping for a dry stones.

Well back from a very sunny and packed stones. Arrived at 8am to find our pitch had doubled in size. 3 Rv's and a SS on site all day - and 3 potential Rv's in process of being rebuilt. All in all a good day.

Well my old rv made it there in the end, and back to wales without missing a beat. It was a stresfull week for me leading up to the show with the head gasket blowing and fuel problems and then setting off on a 300 mile round trip as a maiden voyage. But it was all worth it in the end as we had a great day (and night) on sunday. Monday spoiled by the rain. Thanks to everyone who turned up and the many people who visited our stand. ;D
