Hi everyone I would love to lift my RV up a few inches and put bigger Tyres on, I think the cj7 looks proper when lifted with big wheels. Has anyone done this to their RV? Or know how to? Mine is a Ford V6 powered RV and looks great but I would love to do this. Any help is much appreciated thanks john

Hi John I am half way through a lift myself amongst other things, done the front so far but need to get it on wheels and out of the garage to find out how much the rear has to go up to get it looking right, couple of problems encountered to iron out - eg steering shaft now has to go straight through the engine mount. one thing I would advise is be carefull how far you go up because I think I may need help to get into it, six inch lift might be to high but we'll see when it is back on all fours! hi john In answer to your problem about increasing the ride height of your eagle rv. most people when they build an eagle rv use the springs from the donor vehicle which over time have been subject to the weakening effect of year after year of being exposed to the elements and the weight of a metal body pressing down on them leaving them in a permenantly compressed condition. A brand new set of springs wont have been subject to these conditions and once fitted to the relatively lighter eagle body and chassis you will find that hardly any compression of the new springs occurr at all, leaving you with that desired taller ride height. No awkward brackets need welding, no body spacers need fitting, just brand new springs. Hope this helps.

The only problem with this Daz is that you then have very little extension left in the springs and the tie rod and anti roll bar bushes are out of shape as the wishbones are angled right down.

Hi folks! first time it's been out and back on 4 wheels since the 6" lift brackets put in to the front end, wasn't sure if it would be too high or not but after seeing it I think it's just fine ;D ;D ;D, now to start on the rear end ( this is where it will get interesting for problem solving but that's all part of the fun) Also the new front bumper Need to get spacers for front wheels aswell Any and all opinions welcome. John not trying to hijack your thread! Stu
