Hi I'm new to RV ownership and was wondering about the feasibility of transplanting the Eagle body onto a Suzuki SJ chassis, has this been done before?

I don't think it's been done before, But then the Eagle is more Defender size I don't know what the wheel base of a Suzuki is but the Eagle is 92.5"approx and the Defender is 93"approx. At a quess the Suzuki must be about 79" wheel base. It would be interesting to see how you were going to do it There were models that used the Dihatsu Fourtrack and Range Rover.

Somehow I think this would be a hell of a lot of work. The rv is a very wide car and the sj is a lot narrower andI don't think sticking wider wheels with big offsets would would work too well and as gary said the rv wheelbase looks a lot longer so the sj shassis would have to be cut and lenthened also propshaft brake lines cables wiring etc. most of the floor moulding would have to be cut out and re made to fit the contours of the new chassis............There are many projects like this that have never made it back onto the road, but if you have the ability good luck mate.

thanks for the replies, I think it sounds well beyond my capabilities, i'll just stick with it as it is, it would be a shame to strip a running and mot'd car
