Just a word of warning from someone who should have known better.....whilst trying to attach some steel mesh to the back of my nicely painted grill panel, and having tried all sorts of solutions without success, I resorted to glassing in some hardwood strips (from an old louvre door) to screw self-tappers into through the mesh. Being too tired after a long Saturday at work resulted in resin seeping down the edge of the struts and onto the aforementioned nicely painted panel The knock on result was lots (and I mean LOTS) of expletives and tools etc flying uncontollably around the garage followed by sufficient drinking to dull the anger and today in the garage trying to get rid of as much dust as possible, rubbing down paintwork and digging out the spray equipment. At least at the end of today I was back where I started yesterday with a beautifully painted grill panel and this time the mesh is already attached. So my friends, learn from my experience and make sure everything is thought through before hitting it with paint! Here is the final solution and the finished item. Enjoy.
