Right Helen has a few things on her plate at the moment so she has asked me to post this. If you are driving your kit with the idea of displaying it on the stand you can get in to the show ground anytime after 7.00 am you do not have to wait for the public opening times. You can get into the showground at the exhibitors and kit car entrance. The organisers would prefer it if you were parked up before the show opens to the public for safety reasons. However if you do arrive early remember the halls do not open until 10.00 on Saturday and 9.30 on the Sunday. The day admission is.. Adults: £10, Children (5-15): £3, under 5’s free. As usual kit car drivers are admitted FREE and camping on site is FREE.Newark 2009 car stickers/or plaques will be available free to each kit car driver at the exhibitors and kit car entrance, while stocks last. We have been asked to remind club members and guests that the road traffic act is in force on all parts of the showground. This applies to all motorised vehicles. The showground speed limit is 10 MPH. Please drive with care there are many small children around. There can be no under age or uninsured drivers, driving on the showground. This includes quad bikes and all other motorised machines. Crash helmets should be worn if required by law. The owners of the showground say that mini bikes, scooters, monkey bikes etc., are all banned from the showground. We fully support this as we have had problems with regards to these in the past. Please report any bad, dangerous or anti-social driving to security or the organisers. It is in all our interests to make sure there are no accidents or inappropriate behaviour. The exhibition hall and the Cedric Ford pavilion and all other buildings, are no smoking areas. Only one tent, Motor home, or caravan is permitted on club stands for use as an office/hospitality unit, in which the owner can obviously sleep. Everyone else must use the designated campsite. We do not permit general camping on the club stands. Any club abusing this rule risks losing an invitation to next year’s show. Camping and caravaning is only allowed on Friday and Saturday nights, and there is no need to pre-book. There is no provision for connection to 240v electrical power supply. Open fires are not allowed due to the fire risk. Please exercise extreme care with barbecues and DO NOT dispose of hot embers into the refuse bins. Fire extinguishers are provided for safety reasons and are only to be used to put out fires, not for fun. Once again we advise that participants in the show, including clubs, should have their own public liability insurance. This is not a condition of taking a stand at Newark. It is a recommendation. Helen is looking to the cost of club insurance at the moment. One other thing New for this year we are offering a choice when it comes to food. There will be a café style restaurant operating in the Cedric ford Pavilion, home of the bar and the evening entertainment. Breakfasts will be available from 8.00am-10.00am. Then sandwiches will be available and the chance of a hot dish at lunchtime. This gives you the option to eat indoors or outdoors at the mobile units. For many years people have been requesting that we provide food inside again. Finally we have persuaded the showground to do this for us it’s return next year depends on it’s success this year. We hope you enjoy your weekend.

Just a shame we only need a small pitch The site we have been allocated should allow parking for ten to fifteen Eagles, if we get the many i am sure it will empress the other clubs close by and they will let us move the ropes a bit
