I quite often save decent Eagle pics as they are sold on e bay,yes sad I know This Rv in the south east was on e bay in around June.. sold for ( from memory) £1500ish; the engine photo showed twin 40/45's and if my recollection is correct this one had an alloy cam cover, a modded engine and 5 speed box. 10 days later it is back on e bay, in the Linc's area not fetching £850 ish ......same photos as in the 1st auction except the engine photo is of a std ohc - blue air filter etc. and 4 speed box. chatting to a few 'rally' car breakers recently I discovered they realise that a lot of kit cars ie; phaetons, melos and I suppose P21 are having hot expensive engines in them as well as the associated items needed for these engines. these cars are fetching a fraction of the money that caterhams, westfields etc. reach, but have the same mechanicals, so they are being regularly broken for their components We can so easily loose a lot of cash on our projects if we are not careful

This something that is happening with a lot of the (cheaper) kit cars. Jago's are regularly brought and stripped of the good running gear and then resold with crap engines etc [Needs work ,Good project] when only a couple of months ago they were being sold as completely sorted and with MOT'S. It is sad, but with a shortage of good parts and a up turn in the price of original Escort's, Cortina's and Capri's etc it will continue which is why i think people with kits are beginning to look at alliterative drive gear which isn't "CLASSIC"

;Dyes first time no problems apart from a few adjustmants on the day, cured the self centering problem by setting the tracking to 2% toe out & dropped the tyre pressue to 16 pounds
