Did no-one actualy take any photos of the new SS on the stand? Eveyone has pictures of people enjoying themselves, just to rub it in to those of us who could not be there, and none of the star of the show, obviously! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post a pic of the car!

HI Jon, Way to busy actual working on the stand to take a lot of photos, we were soooo busy with the public, press and fellow makers but here are three I took on my phone. The car was a MkI SS body (£50 on Ebay) and a space frame chassis made to hold all the MR2 bits in the right place and will allow any std sports seat to be used. Nose chopped of about 4" (I didn't like that) louvers over the engine bay/boot, side skirts with Nova-est scoops in front of the rear wheels and a deeper and more vertical front skirt, maybe too square. It was just a discussion project with the RV taking most of the serious time and inquiries so we feel the SS-3R will be on the back burner until late in the year while all the effort will be on the RV "bread and butter" project. I was on an errand to buy a pair of 'proper' front four pot calipers as the RX7 ones were proving to big in all directions including fouling the back of the wheels so was I pleased to see that the stand opposite us was rally design and I got a pair of Wilwood 'Powerlites' with pads for £175 and they are a perfect fit on the vented disks, just need to make new brackets now, the original mountings would have been O/K/ and no need to chop, so I may look for a pair of std, uprights, one step foward and two back, again. Take care and hope you are home safe and sound real soon. Peter

By the way, did anyone find out who stole the club's flag and new flag pole? I'll get a new one from the makers and send it over intime for the Newark show. Peter

Harry, it's mid-engined. Do try and keep up, there's a good fellow.
(Not much point in having a window like some of the posh cars with a nice looking V12 to show off - MR2 blocks don't look quite as good - still faster than a Nova tho!)
Dons flak jacket and waits for incoming...........
