SS taxed ok today so I'm a legal Eagle now.
In true pre-show tradition one rear light has stopped working, the gearbox mount has snapped and the number plate light has failed. However these are only minor probs compared to what has been done to pass the mot so keep a space for me Sunday afternoon!!!
Camping Sunday night.
Chaz.

Ok guys, Lots of you haven't been to Stoneleigh before & so I have been getting lotsa queries re camping (&dogs ) etc......... Dogs are ok on the show ground, but must be kept on a lead. Hope your girlfriend is ok with that Alex ;D. We have booked pitch 55D (yes Simon?). Peter has posted up a map earlier in this thread showing the location of our pitch. Any club members driving a kit car get in free. Passengers, I think have to pay. The official camp site is about 10 minutes walk from where we are in the show ground. In the past we have generally simply camped behind the cars on our pitch. It works well cos we don't have to pay . I spoke to the organisers today & they are happy enough for Eagle owner caravans to park on the EOC pitch, assuming there is room. (The organisers thought there would be room, but given there may be many tents there also ). However I imagine that they will charge any caravan going in for camping. Official prices are £5 for each kit car driver to camp for 2 nights (Sat & Sun). £15 for each passenger to camp for 2 nights. £20 for non kit car drivers to camp for 2 nights. As I said, we have happily camped on our pitch, in tents, without paying in the past. Evening entertainment.......On the Sunday night there is music in the bar. Otherwise we will just throw our own private party on the stand ;D. Bring anything you feel will help the evening along (try to keep it clean!). Look forward to seeing you all there!!

CAMPING CAMPING CAMPING OK,,, IF YOU BRING A TENT CAN YOU PLEASE SET IT CLOSE TO THE NEXT TENT SO AS NOT TO LEAVE UN-USEABLE SPACE BETWEEN,, a bit like parking a car,, dont take up a space and a half, this way nobody will get asked to move a tent up a bit if we do get a good turn out,,, if anyone gets there first and sees squatters with a huge caravan that have nothing to do with eoc, tell them to move,, we lost a big chunk of space last year due to squatters between us and nova,, this will ensure plenty of space,, we have never run out of space yet so fingers crossed, share tents is another idea ;D hello kirk

It sounds like there may be a few camping & we all have to fit in ;D I think I'll need to try to camp away from the EOC stand anyway as my wife and children will be coming in a bl**dy great motorhome so it would take up a load of space, plus a couple of cars and a tent for some mates that are coming.
