Would love to, but will be at LeMans that weekend. I do wish they'd move the date for this show so it doesn't clash with LeMans. I really like the Newark show. I hope the weather is kind and you get a better turn out of cars.

I should be there. I am trying to find out the details for camping (tents, not pink flares). If anyone already knows please tell. Chaz.

Le Mans? can't they move that date there's only one place to be at Le Mons, in a pit! rest is just a boring high speed possession with a 80% certainty of outcome. I used to follew it but it got a bit like F1. I did a 12 hour non-stop I.O.M once in 1965, nearly got dizzy

Must say, it is less for the racing than the social. Get away from daily life for a few days, drink beer and eat well. Having said that one of our group is an ace blagger and got us into the Corvette hospitality lounge directly over the pits. Free food and the smell of high octane fuel. Fantastic. The classic every two years gives the opportunity to see all the old timers (from 1920's through to 1980's) and you can get close to them in the pits. I do wish they'd change the dates though, my wedding anniversary is 15th June and I'm usually away with the lads!!! How about that for an understaning wife.

For full details of the show, and to see where the stand is visit my newly updated website www.eaglekitcars.co.uk/I am going to give bad carma to anyone who is not there! I am sick at looking at the same cars! I could post the same photos for each show and who would notice? See you all there. P.S. Well done Chaz you know it make sense!

I'm sick of looking at my car - at least from the underneath! I fink my engine mounts are soft. The engine rocks a lot more with the exhaust manifold off - hence the wear and tear on the manifold and pipes I suppose. What we really need at the Show is a flash SS with say.....a V8 in it. Hang on a mo, didn't someone have, a long time ago, in a garage far far away........ one lying around somewhere? - oh yeah - JASON!!!!!!!!! - How's it going? Will it be ready? Or will the "?" on my keyboard wear out first? Chaz.

So would I, there about 450 photos in various locations within the web site and they need to be identified and collated, not a job for between breakfast and going to work! I will get around to it, soon, promise. In the mean time send all you can to me clearly identified and it will go on the site within 6 to 7 weeks, honest. Peter

No photos will be taken! If you really want to see the cars on the stand you have two choices.... A. Be there! B. Look at past show pictures (cos its the same crowd each time) If you want to see the Banners and Gazebo you had better go to Bob' s House Ill be there with my glass well and truly half empty! Love from Disillusioned of Peterborough ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

[glow=yellow,2,300] FEELING HOT HOT HOT! [/glow] Not a bad show, at Newark this year, not may traders and not much auto jumble. The Eagle Stand was busy busy busy! Despite the lack of banners plenty found us, being right outside the bar and near the main public entrance helped! The gazebo would have been great though as temperatures sored... 27 in the shade!!! As always there was a permanent visitor on the stand asking about the SSes and RVs. Rogers P21 was as popular, as ever, supporting very retro "bling bling" hub caps! It was good to meet up with many new faces, and it just goes to show that there are many more Eagles in the wild than you might believe! Including a convertible SS!!! Chaz and I had a dam good night in the bar, making some new friends and slowing getting to the stage when camping is bearable! (they threw us out at 1:15!!!) My head still hurts! Some pics are up on the website, scroll down on: www.eaglekitcars.co.uk/Show_Calendar.htmPlease email me more!

Ah well, maybe I'll make next year and do the Classic LeMans instead.
Saw an SS on our campsite and took a photo. It was very dark and it was taken on 'Mad Friday', so quality may be iffy. I'll send it off for identification in the fullness of time. Too tired now having been awake most of the last 72 hours.

Well I had a brilliant weekend! - Although as usual the SS split a downpipe on the Thusday evening despite me spending the previous two weeks checking it over! So Friday was spent dismantling and welding. I still got there Friday evening about 19:30. Set tent up, barbequed a meal to go with a few beers and half of red. Simon and Jason rolled up Saturday morning so we set up the stand and trolled around the show getting sunburnt. Plenty of interest in the cars, helped by Simon's laminated fact sheets we put in the windows. A couple of people told they were building SS's so we should have a showing next year. Come on you RV owners - you're getting out-numbered at the shows. In the evening Simon and I went for a ride in his car which is now showing more power (come on Simon, get a stage 2 head and a proper free flow exhaust - then it will really go) pint in a pub then back for the entertainment on site. Great night helped by more red and beers before hitting the club bar. Even the Robbie Williams tribute act sounded good. Sunday - no hangover! Picked up a few bargains from the stands but had to leave early as I had a gig Sunday evening. Travelling in the SS on the hottest day of the year was OK. The V6 rad kept the engine temp under control, although the cabin was hot. Off to the gig in my Sierra which boiled up several times on the way. Nice to know a kit car can be better than (old) production cars! Chaz.
