10mph speed limit reduction to test if drivers would go slower on the M1 has resulted in around £8,000 worth of fines being dished out daily.
Four UK motorways where speed limit has been cut to 60mph
Drivers on stretches of the M1, the M6, the M5 and the M602 have been limited to a top speed of 60mph
The road near Sheffield has had a camera installed on the northbound side between junction 33 and 34 close to Sheffield and Rotherham - where more than 22,000 motorists have been caught out speeding, BirminghamLive reports.

Absolutely disgusting. At a time when, through utter mismanagement from all governments from Blairs 97 landslide right up until now from the labservatives over the last 25 years all costs are spiralling out of control. So what is the government answer??? Trap people and steal more money whilst letting real crime rise exponentially... so sad. There we go... Rant over 😊

Thank your Gods that you don't live in London. Most of my mates have been fined and some have had points added to their licences in the past 2 years. Almost the whole of London is now a 20mph zone. Traffic crawling along wide, straight main roads even in the dead of night when there is hardly any traffic. One friend was fined for doing 22 mph ( 22!!! ) in a 20mph zone. To make matters worse, the traffic lights have not been re-synchronised following the changeover from the 30mph limit, meaning queues at most traffic lights. Journeys take twice as long. There are also poorly signposted Low Traffic Neighbourhoods, where some roads are prohibited to cars - easy to miss the signs when other traffic is turning into these roads. 24 hour bus lanes, hatched areas at junctions, no right/no left turns everywhere, speed cameras, ULEZ cameras, average speed cameras, red routes, cycle lanes etc. etc. Lunatic cyclists, electric scooter and bike riders in dark clothes with no lights or helmets weaving in and out of traffic and jumping red lights. It is a nightmare driving in London. Also, parking is often £4 - £8 plus per hour, parking signs are deliberately ambiguous and fines are stiff. Two weeks ago I pulled over and stopped with my nearside wheels in a bus lane in order to let an oncoming large transporter pass. 10 seconds maximum with my wheels in a bus lane and not turning - £160 fine. Nowhere can be as bad as London?

Wow, that is horrific. Horrible here in Wales too. Blanket 20 mph. So every town is gridlocked. God help us in the Summer. We are run by globalist greedy mad men

Motorway speed limits to be axed after bungled National Highways air pollution test
The 60mph speed limits on the M1 and M6 are set to be scrapped after National Highways said that air quality had improved but admitted that the problem will be solved another way.
