Is there something missing from your post Graham? Post number one is just a reminder for people to try and get their cars on the road, and info of possible next car show. Will be updated when dates and place are confirmed for real. Send me an email of what you think should be stated prior to the confirmed dates.
Thanks.

Hi, Graham my name is Jon !! So whoever Garry is i wont have replied!! I originally asked if something was missing because you posted a thread that had a title but was completely blank of any content. Its not really important so lets just leave it there. Do we have any idea of size of pitch in malvern and are we dealing with the same morale police that wont lets us stay on the pitch? we need to plan our pitch and festivities early so we are all mentally and physically prepared.

Do we have any idea of size of pitch in malvern and are we dealing with the same morale police that wont lets us stay on the pitch? we need to plan our pitch and festivities early so we are all mentally and physically prepared. , I was thinking of the other person who used to help with shows.
if you use Microsoft Edge browser, the jpg picture does not show. Try Firefox, and it shows on my computer no problem.
Or if people use those tiny screened mobile phones, the pic may not show on those. i ONLY use a REAL computer to access the web. Cant stand those tiny screens
Last year we had more tents and things than eagle cars on the stand, and the previous one was a mess, and one ( now a member ) had to park off the club stand as it too was full of none eagle cars. This is not acceptable to to me.
Yes - previously, there was not much interest in the shows until I was made Chairman, , hence plenty of room for tents but lets get a tidy - uncluttered pitch.
We can't book a space until we know how many cars we have. I think I asked for 6 or 8 cars at last two shows, and was too small. - BUT I will book space for 10 cars shortly, before all pitches are taken.
Thanks,
Graham

For the benefit of both Terry and Graham. Lets just forget about the post with the missing content!!! Its not important!!! I do however agree that perhaps this page needs looking at, as im not willing to piss about with new software and/or new computer just to see a bloody stupid gif or link or whatever! That aside can we come to some consensus on camping/pitch/size. Where is camping in relation to the car pitches? if its more than a few minutes walk then its gonna be a problem as most cars will be leaving and returning several times a day! I for one am not willing to leave my tent with my personal belongings/food/drink etc where i cant see it. And i wouldnt expect anyone else to have to either, perhaps a more streamlined approach can be achieved. Absolutely No non eagle cars on the pitch, unless dropping off items. Then its to be parked elsewhere. Nobody is gonna leave belongings out of sight and unless you want the club tent to be full of peoples clothes and belongings etc then we need to come up with a neat and compact situation on pitch. How soon till we have a layout of site for malvern? The pitch allocation at newark was ridiculous and not practical. If the experience of going to shows for kit car owners is not an enjoyable experience then they will be less likely to come! We are gonna have 5/6 cars definitely with the possibility of more so we need to book accordingly, whichever tent is used it takes up 2 car spaces so in my mind we need to start at a pitch for 8 vehicles at least!

Go for as big as we can at least 12 spaces. Yep - will do, but we need to be able to accomodate 9 / 10 cars with the 2 EAGLE owners club.official tents on the pitch.

Quick question Graham, Do you get a general layout of the show pitches before requests are submitted or do you get the finished results after they have been allocated? A NON finalised general layout would be so useful to us with the issues we are discussing. I also agree with terry as far as requesting as large a pitch as we can. On a secondary and totally separate topic, does anyone have access to our Eagle Owners Club logos as an image/file?

A NON finalised general layout would be so useful to us with the issues we are discussing. I also agree with terry as far as requesting as large a pitch as we can. On a secondary and totally separate topic, does anyone have access to our Eagle Owners Club logos as an image/file? Hi, Yes, always get a layout with a - z pitches shown, but no sizes.
Last 2 shows I worked out where the public would be coming in and out so when coming in they pass the Eagle site, and in relation to the camping area too , and preferably a corner plot and give 5 / 6 options of where we would like to be located.
I have yet to receive a reply as to where the Saturday evening entertainment will be located, as we don't want to be near that either.
And even after stating preferred pitches in advance, have never got what I asked for, -- near, but not my preferred plots. And not until near the show dates did I get the size of the pitch allocated.
I speak to the Organiser of the shows, on the phone as well, and in emails to get the best possible location, but if all else fails I bought extra Eagle show boards for last 2 shows to be placed just outside the pitch pointing up a down the rows. ( especially for Stoneleigh ).
I would like to see a large flag pole with the words EAGLE, rather than a random one that was at the last show. If anyone wants to forward to me designs and costs less than £60. please do.
One has to run the club on Business lines / marketing; in order to attract attention, to get people interested. We don't have enough members to make that even 50% possible, but I am trying, inbetween my legal help ( Very time consuming ) , classic car collection, renovating a house and running out of money in doing so. ( £ 20,000 in repairs so far )
I have a logo ... is it the Silver eagle,, or other, and what are your plans for it.
Regards Graham.

Thanks for that Graham. Ill try and respond to these in the order they are in your reply. Pre covid at stoneleigh our pitches were always single facing ( no access from back of pitch ) this was useful as tents and other things could be at the back and out of sight. In this instance we dont need to be close to the campsite as nobody will be using it. The banner i had made for last show was never meant to be a flag, its intention was as a pitch sign rather than relying on the terrible tiny signs provided by organisers. If funds are an issue then perhaps my suggestion of group food and drink provision could generate a smallish but steady revenue stream ( potential for £40-50 ) per show. If £60 is all we have left to purchase a new sign/flag then id rather not! £60 isnt going to get anything of any practical size and/or quality, id rather get some collective agreement to "chip in" and realistically spend £200-£300 on something that will last! My asking on logo's was from speaking to the chap who made the banner last year, he suggested i see what was available for him to use and he would make suggestions about practicality etc, im a fan of club polo shirts for at shows, but just 2-3 people wearing them isnt going to make any difference. He seemed genuinely interested and knew of my rv kit as both his father and grandfather had both had kit cars in the past. When did we last have a car sticker etc that had club details on?

( Thats what the £ 60 was indicated for )
Depending on where our pitch is, we may be overlooked by some visitors, hence the "suggestion" on a taller flag pole ( as well as the one that gets anchored by an R.V. wheel ) so visitors see where the Eagle pitch is from a distance.
Just a thought.

I agree Graham, a new flag would be nice. The new modern ones that look like sails are very good and light and keep shape with no wind. The club needs revanue first though.

or we all just chip in to buy one, how much would we be talking about ? I have no definite cost, as it's just a thought at present. And membership funds may come in - in June.
For too long a few eagle owners have financed the club ( Terryrob and Gromit ) and I inputted £ 1000 last year as previous treasurer refused to give us back £ 500 club funds., and club tent went missing when a member died. Members donated approx £ 500 last year and we were back to square one, but no cash in the bank, and now only 18 members, 8 of whom joined after the A.G.M..giving us £ 80 in the bank. We need 30 members to survive without donations, but I know there are dedicated eagle owners members who are willing to donate cash occasionally, but not constantly.
It may well be that the club will not survive without small donations, with so few members.
I donated 2 permanent trophy's last year ( £ 50 ) and may have to donate the same this year, But there are two shows this year, in June and July, so may have to delay presentation till the two shows have finished ( more costs on posting ).
We will see how it goes this year, without spending too much.
Anyway -- I am rambling...
Thanks . . . Graham.

I would be happy to return my Newark 2022 trophies to the club ( furthest distance travelled and best RV ) for recycling. Would only need to replace the small plaque on the front of each. Might it be an idea in future to have trophies retained by the winner for one year only anyway? Many clubs do this and either the plaque alone is replaced annually or, if there is room on the plaque, the plaque is retained and the current year's winner is added to the list of winners. Separately, if a new larger/ longer flag and flagpole is needed then I would like to buy it for the club, if the cost is not unreasonable. My feeling is that it is very important to have an outstanding quality feature, visible from a distance, to identify and attract visitors to the club stand. A mediocre flag suggests a mediocre club.

try eagleownersclub.org.uk/project-vehicle.mp4 - but that's where it gets the video from.so if your internet device wont play it on here, it probably wont play it if you go direct.
Let me know if you get to see it eventually.
