Somewhere I have a Ford Hex fit 6 bolt boss for 6 hole wheels, IF it is the hex type column, I think it came off of a XR2 . As for QR, there are plenty that bolt on between the wheel and the hub on the 'bay. A weld on QR like mine is B****y expensive and I only have it as I 'stole' it on Ebay for 12.00 This one looks cool as long as you have a 'splined' column. Ebay item 280713093536 , currently 176 other to choose from. Nearly all the others thick or thin have 6 holes to fit the boss and then 6 holes to fit the wheel, so as long as you have a decent boss most will fit, 'Weld on' ones are good, generally lighter but you will need to be good at welding, I drilled and tapped my column 10mm and put an 120mm Allen bolt down the middle then welded it.

Hi that's the one I actually brought but after a bit of head scratching realised I will have to get the welder out luckily im a fairly skilled welder fabricator so don't have a problem with doing it ,bit surprised you cant buy one that simply fits straight on to the Cortina steering column

I see the Cortina/Capri/Anglia/Escort MkI is splined. You can get hubs easy enough. Ebay 171278385096 Then fit a slim fit QR.
Pricy but bolt straight on is 201110746084

brilliant thanks for that I will get the necessary bits, found my new alternator had packed in today very frustrating as I had just brought a new battery and voltage regulator that will teach me to treat the car to new parts also the brake master cylinder bowl has come out in sympathy and started leaking ahh will it ever end I thought it was a fairly sorted car it was when it was new no doubt
