Ah. I have to say, the prop angle on my own RV did make me wonder if it was ok - it approaches the diff quite steeply. Mind you, nothing untoward has happened yet, and I've given it some welly over pretty rough ground which must have seen both extremes of suspension travel being reached So, these adjustable links will 'rotate' the whole axle to bring the prop flange at the front pointing a wee bitty more up? Nice. Ok, one Q down and one to go - what's that small V-twin in the photo?! Ah , the v twin is a rare and priceless Indian motorcycle engine,,,,well I wish it was, its a compressor pump !

Been, there, done that, walked about or rather staggered, about like drunk for weeks until I mended, and one can mend, so chin up, it,,s not the worst thing that can happen.

Heads will snap, hope you have public liability insurance for all those wipe-lash injuries. Look forwards to seeing the end result. Going for slightly metallic midnight black with carbon fibre bonnet, boot and mirrors.

Hi everyone, My rv finally has an up and running engine. She starts on the button and purs. So the engine is complete. All chassis railed have been painted too. I've started cutting open all the loom now and have cut out all the bodged wiring that people have chucked in over the Years. Should have the wiring sorted by tomorrow night Then all that's left is bush replacements etc and go for a pre mot. Paint job can wait until she's road worthy. So getting there. for the zero updates on my build. James

Hi all
Mine is fitted with hardtop and doors now. Ready for the summer rains!! I havent used her very much at all and need to sort out two of the advisories for the next MOT. Front brake pipes too long/close to road and ball joint rubber split.
I am still thinking of selling her as i just havent used her, so it may well be advertised soon. If anyone is interested let me know.
Dave

Hi All
Just thought I'd drop in and say hello - my SS Series III that I built from scratch in the eighties is still tucked up in a warm, cosy garage waiting for me to have time to get her back on the road. As someone said earlier in this thread it's either loads of time but no money or loads of money but no time. Guess I'm half way betwen the two, very little time but not quite loads of money yet (working on it.
My SS is jet black, export mould, was destined for Scandinavia originally so had extra layer of layup and extra layer of gel coat, metal reinforcement in all the main panels (perforated zinc I think, it was a long time ago). Stock 1.3 SP engine, always intended to swap it for a 1.6 TP or even a fuel injected VW camper engine but never quite got time to complete that idea.
Anyway, just so you know there's another one out there that's not on the road but hasn't been scrapped or gone to pot either. Needs a dash and some TLC but other than that it's probably not in too bad a condition.
May pop in and see what you guys are up to now and then if that's ok. Good luck with all your summer projects!
Gary

Pop in as often as you like, good to know there is another SS that hasn`t been scrapped. Be nice to hear it is on the rad before too long as the ever changing Eurocrat army are doing their best to make our cars impossible to get on the road if not already there, then they well start on the ones that are. Please PM me with details so I can add it to the register. Photos would be nice to so we can all share.
