As the title says............ You must be doing something with your kits even if it's only planning so get your posts updated or start a new thread about your car, Let's not let the forum posts dry up again this winter. I know that I am as much to blame as the next man but I am getting it sorted promise

Oh really? I second that though, we MUST keep things moving, it is so easy to get complacent and leave it up to others, who in turn leave it up to others, No danger of my thread going quite, I have so much going on, not only with the SS but the stable of crap cars I have to keep running.

my stable is slightly smaller Peter but still keeps me busy. was working on the girlfriends 1992 mx5 today. I've not long had to replace the head gasket on my Omega. I also have a recently acquired Rover 75 tourer 2.5 V6 playing hard to get too ... on and the poor SS is sitting in my lockup thinking I'm not talking to it I was down at the lockup today but only with the MX5. I did fire up my generator though to give it a run and plugged a heater into it to keep me warm planning wise this year has been pretty much a write off as far as the SS is concerned, due to various things I've hardly been near it. determined that this wont continue. all I need is a day to day car that's reliable enough so that it doesn't take away from Eagle time. that's been sorely lacking this year but fingers crossed I'll be spending a lot more time on it next year Brett

The gasket set has arrived so as soon as I get the garage clear enough I will start on striping and rebuilding the engine.

guys, but nothing happenning to the RV - haven't even done any painting on the new engine. Been busy on other projects, picked up another Spartan from Skipton 2 weeks ago, loads of excellent stuff came with it too, which was well worth the trip....nothing that exciting, but loads of original things that were supplied with the kit in 1983, and never been fitted, the chrome items are amazing - and probably proper Chrome - pre china!! Spent this weekend fitting a new stereo to Jacquies Golf TDI - easy jobs once you got the right bits! So annoying when you order everything and its not all there, or they send you a bit you don't need, but you try and fit it anyway lol Then yesterday, tried to weld the mower casing up, but not enough metal left to weld really!!!! Hoping to have Spartan in for painting soon, might give me the time to get the new engine into the RV.....only 5 months to Stoneleigh :-)

Blanca, my white BMW E30 passed its annual test today on the proviso I attended to a small leak from the auto box cooler lines, so off I went to the 'shed' and fixed it and whilst I was at it I did the plugs, tappets and MAF as well so all sweet and lovely. On the SS front I checked the relay remote module I have and it is the one I got for the LEDS, as in 4 separate relays, so I need to gat an interlocked 4 channel for the actuators, (press A and A closes, press B, B closes and A opens.. another 7€ hits the dust.

I picked up the hardtop and doors on Sunday. Doors much more solid than my plywood ones, but also seen how i could have stiffend mine up . might still have a go at them yet.
Hoping to have a go at fitting the doors this weekend.

Hi Dave, does this mean your keeping the RV?
Excellent news if you are :-)
Did you get those from the recent eBay ad?

Hi Ed
Yes it was on ebay.
Still not 100% sure what to do. Keep seeing other toys as well and get tempted.
Thought the hard top and doors would be a worthy addition to the jeep either way it goes.
How is yours going, have you got the v6 in yet.
Do you have a spare pinto engine and box going spare yet? Looking for one for the Marlin.

Have been preparing the new hardtop for a new coat of paint. Change the nice(!!) silver to a satin black.

Still on the seat covers....I am having to hand stitch as machine won't go though the vinyl's thinkness at the centre seams. Oh so much fun. I am sure it will be worth it in the end.
