I have just joined the forum myself specifically to sell an Eagle RV. My father sadly passed away at the beginning of the year and Mum kindly signed over his Eagle RV to me. It has been in our family since it was first registered on the 6 August 1990. It is an original Rob Budd supplied Eagle kit which my father built many years ago. It was regularly seen at many of the Stonleigh, Newark, and Peterborough Shows. No mean feat considering we drove up from West Wales complete with camping equipment for the weekend. It is a white RV, correctly registered, on a Q plate. A new hood was fitted a few years ago and it was my fathers daily drive up to 2 years ago when he put it on SORN. It has the original white Wella wheels, side steps and bull bar. The gel coat is surprisingly good condition for its age with minimal crazing. The running gear is a 2.0L Pinto from a Mk5 Ford Cortina. The head has been rebuilt, (new cam, followers, valve stem oil seals, spray bar etc). It currently doesn't have a MOT due to being off the road and no time to sort it out. It is also fitted with a towing hitch. My late father and I are the only registered keepers in the last 23yrs!!! Please feel free to get in touch for further info if interested. I really want it to go to a good home :-) Cheers, Nicola

Hi Nicola, First off, may I offer my condolences. I'm sure I know that car and it a beut' Please post a photo if you have one or you might see it on 'past events' on the EOC site. There are a couple of guys looking for a RV so should sell on here if they're not tyre kickers.. Only you didn't come on the forum sooner and under happier circumstances. Please stick around and join us, even without an Eagle you are most welcome and you are not the only none/ex Eagle owner on here.

Thanks Pete. If I had the time and space I would love to keep it. Having spent most of my youth at kit car shows it was no suprise that I bought a NG TC V8. Kit cars are in my blood. Were you around during the club era with Craig at the helm and the infamous "it's a knockout / fancy dress" arena competitions against Jago?

Was that around the time he was driving the Daihatsu powered RV ? We met up with him and the then eagle club at the Peterborough show, I can't remember the exact year but I do have some photos somewhere. It was around the time we were looking at both the Eagle and the Jago as possible kits to build "we bought an Eagle RV, still have it but we also now own Jago Samuri's and Geeps as well.

Not sure what he was running but I remember him being the life and sole, always bringing the hot water boiler, caravan, beer and fun. We were regularly 15 plus Eagles Rv's / SS's. Plenty of choice for prospective purchasers to look at.

I came on the scene in 1996 with my SS, (I was member 034 then) when there were a lot of kit cars about and I attended Stoneleigh, Exeter, Goodwood, and a few others until 1998, sadly as far as the register goes there are only five road going Eagles at the moment. We had a monthly magazine, something I would like to do again but an on-line version every 3 months, it was always a problem (and would be again)getting members to write in with content and a few times the dreaded 'recipe' appeared as a filler, I wrote something most months. Bod became chairman and the club was mostly RV as that is what he had and as can be seen in the 'past events' on the web site a lot of RVs and off road stuff. Sadly Bob has disappeared along with club kit and the bank account details. Then it all went pear shaped in 2004 and died until I got it going again in 2005 with a lot of help, (as I live in Spain), hope you like the new forum and site, took me hours,... days... well months.

Small world huh As I sorted the pictures I hoped that they were some good. Never imagined that they would actually be pictures of you and your dads RV. It's the second time that this has happened readingeaglerv on here used to own a yellow/white truck and he took that to Newark. He mention it to me and guess what I had taken a picture of that also.

Dmt68, that was my Sherwood, Starcraft was the 6 wheeled campervan.
Had that for 10 years, built it in 1982/83, various engines from a 1.6, upto a 2.3, which it prob had when this pic was taken. Had a white bonnet cox I gad a little fire, and they had stopped doing coloured ones, also why the estate part was white, bought this after I built it!
Loved the car, went to Chamonix in it camping,
Sadly never finished it properly, but then if I had, Gary wouldn't have remembered me!

That is true Eddie, I think that I only took the picture because I liked the style of the owner driving it while still working on it, You didn't see too much back then.

Knew I had a "finished" version somewhere. Loosing the tent and stowing it in the back was the difficult bit.
