hi, i have just bought an eagle rv. i have rang adrian flux insurance and they want £700 for tpft insurance in my own name (i am 19). does anyone know of a good insurer that will allow me to be a second driver if i put the insurance in my dads name, as adrian flux wont do this unless i am over 25. i also want third party only insurance, not theft. any information would be greatly apprichiated

Hi Nathan
graham sykes do online quotes and are sometimes pretty good,
plus its not a lot more to go fully comp, ask adrian flux for 3000miles limited milage plus you get a big discount if your a eagle club member, when you give them your membership number

You should phone the brokers rather than use the web i have always found that you will get a better deal if you speak to someone in person. You could join the owners club as flux's will give you extra discounts!

Wow, thats a huge quote for a kit car these days! Mine is insured with Graham Sykes and I thought it was cheap even acknowledging that I am an old git.

I thought that too actually. It is a huge quote . Unless you are a professional car thief or something I can't believe they quoted that. I would ask them for another quote &, if it is still extortionate, ask why.

Must be an age/location/convictions problem, i'm with adrian flux and mine is only £127 TPFT 3000 miles a year for my V8 eagle.

I think it's probably your age that's against you as I tried to get a quote for my son to drive a NCF Diamond and nobody will touch him until he's at least 19 and then I have been told that the rates will be extortionate.
