Proboards is updating to V5. I have requested the upgrade be approved by them and I am number 156 in the queue. You will notice a few subtle changes from time to time now but nothing drastic until I have played with the duplicate BETA version and figured it out.

Well they have gone an done it. the colours and settings are PROVISIONAL and I need some input as to what you would like colour scheme wise. There are a few new bits as you can see but I am sure you will get used to it fast, I did. I like the new log in page, proper job. the related Topics and Stories at the bottom needs a colour change, does my head in, so that's priority. I would like to add an animated theme page with a car moving or flipping open a door or just pop up head lights. I'll scour you tube for one.

The light grey/aubergine colour scheme of the main headings and thread titles is nice, but the way these thread headings and menu titles change abruptly from the light colour to the dark just by rolling your mouse over it I find a bit jarring - I find it takes me a moment to be able to re-read the headings as text & background colours have reversed in contrast!
It looks real nice, tho', and I guess can live with it!

I agree the roll over is a bit urgent so I'll tone it down to the same as the background so it will be a slight change only.

Great idea Gary, I have put a "New Topics" button on the menu bar, it works too, getting the hang of it, just need to sort the colour scheme out.

I have also put direct links to our web as so many people bypass it and Nova and Stirling sites as they have on theirs, networking rules OK!

In order to avoid duplication, on this and other boards,I am just linking from a menu bar button to the Register of cars page on the EOC site.

What makes you think I have? A,I have gone though the members list, deleted all that, A, last post over three years ago with less than 3 posts, B, registered and last post same day with 0 posts over a year ago,(= just looking),C,died. Some of them were 'last post' 2005! so now we have 132 members who have more than 3 posts in last three years and currently active in past 24 months. Still trying to get the colours right, I wanted to stay with the red header which carries on from the main web page but run a cooler theme on the pages in a blue-ish, style, not easy with so many choices on this new V5 but I hope I'm getting there, I'm sure I will hear to the contrary if not, any suggestions welcome. Peter 112 visits in little over a week! wow!!!

Well, 140 views on this thread alone and no one jumping up and down so I guess I got OK at last, I'll play with the one I have on-line which is separate from this one and see what more I squeeze out of it without confuzzing everyone, including myself.

Peter I can't get the web site link at the top of the page to work. I don't think that I am doing anything wrong it just resets the forum page to the home page

Seems the direct attachment thingy for photos has a 200MB limit per forum so that's gone, fun while it lasted, so back to Photo bucket. folks

Direct attachments are back at the top right of the post but please limit the size as we are limited to 2GB per forum and 200mb per post. Just click on the "add attachment" and the "insert" then click and drag from your desktop folder into the box and "insert". easy but to save on space please continue to use Photo bucket where possible as it doesn't use up our server space. I have updated the site again and added some more techy stuff and improved the opening page, again.
