I just happed to be scanning through the pages looking for alternative door systems for the SS, I'm thinking of fitting 12v 150mm actuators to open the doors individually by remote, and I came across a few, in fact quite a few, projects on both RVs and SSs that seem to have just faded away over the last 3 or 4 years never to be heard or seen of again, (don't even mention the SS moulds in Wexford!) Anyone out there who is still looking in that has a stalled or abandoned project, let us know what happened to it and if it's was scrapped or just stalled.

They vary but about 65 GBP a side inc'. shipping for the B grade, (scuffed) but a bit more when B grades are not available, and 10GBP for the remote and relays, this is for the high speed ones, opens in about 8 seconds, the slower ones lift more but take about 15 seconds. Fitting would be nearer the hinges rather than at the corner of the door frame as now but the bottom would be about the same so it would be a straight push up (much as in the Gimson Robotics diagram) and they would be just behind ones head when down. not sure until I measure up but it's either 120 or 150mm stroke, These are a good make. Item number 111060565459 on Ebay, I would probably cover in a dark grey to match the interior. Rough idea PaintShop
