When it arrives and if it does look good, IMHO anything is going to be better than the red round one, I'll look into a small production run by 'cloneing' it. As one of the Nova guys said, one can repaint the colour to suite the car, mines black, so job done but contrasting it in red might be an idea. I still think the 'official' logo is fine for media and possible the key ring but a bonnet badge needs to be special.

It's arrived! and I am impressed, not a flimsy thin thing that would last two weeks but a substantial chunk of real metal. nicely polished finished, although as the seller said, the black enamel does have a few very small bubbles in it but I will soon sort that out. As far as the looks go I think it would make a great 'official' bonnet badge for Eagle cars. I am looking into making a moiuld of it and looking into the best way to duplicate it.. Although, having said that, At £17 inc post it's not too dear when compared to my flimsy Mercedes star at £20 a pop.

Well it's on and shiny, I love it, looks just like a factory badge. (Paint shooped to look like it is set in already but it's not yet.) LEDs a go-go These are the modified LED side light/indicator and fog light assemblies I have made up. Basicly one of each type 'Sikoflexed' together with an alloy tube bonded in for a pivot, alloy end plate will be fixed to the tubes and bonded on the back of the nose. The end of the covers had shaped bits but have been squared off. One row does the sidelights and indicators combined (white & orange) and the lower one is bright white for the fogs. (block is a 4 way waterproof connector) Hole chopped out of the nose where the Jaguar sidelight/indicators wnet will be back filled to give depth and smoothed off before the lights are fitted from behind as on my BMW E30 fog lights, rather than on the outside as before.

Looks good Peter. Glad someone is getting things done. I must admit, I haven't laid a hand on the RV for around six weeks. Not good!

Never mind John, just make up for lost time and get cracking, it will be May 1st before you know it.
I think I must say to everyone, Christmas is over, so is new year, so lets get working and get those Eagles on the road and to shows, lets get off our butts, (me too) and get some work done this year. Last year 99% of us were a bit excuse ridden when it came to why we hadn't done any work on our cars, we all have problems, (I have loads but still manage some progress). Lets make 2013 the year of the Eagle ressurection, we made a good start last summer but it seems to have dropped off over the winter, I have discussed this with Gary and we think the closed forum is partly to blame for the drop off in interest so I think we should open it up again and in addition rely on donations the same as Don does on the Nova board. Regards the well recieved bonnet badge, I think it's a cracker, but I am biased, cost wise it's not too much when you look at the cost of a simular emblem from Opel, Mercedes or Other makers, they are all about £15 to £35 so £17 is a good price for a solid one like the Eagle.

I think it looks great, what did you use to keep it on the car?

Currently it's stuck on with the 3M backing it came with but as it is about 3mm thick it sticks up too much for my taste and beggars to have screwdriver under the edge and be stolen so I am going to draw around it and then cut out the hole, Sikoflex a panel underneath and then smooth it all off and set the badge into the body so it's flush as in the photo and less prone to be nicked by thieving little bast**ds, it will look better too.
