Anyone tell me who is the board admin at the moment as there seems to be a need to clean up and bring up to date. If no one wants to spend the time please let me have the admin and I'll take it on again Peter

I believe that Davidejm still has the main admin controls with Helen only being able to alter a few things. Not 100% on this

Hallo, has the bomb dropped in the UK? We need to heavily edit the TEAC area as TEAC is no more and move usefully posts to a suitable area also there are a LOT of dead 'members' that have been on once and never again that need weeding out. We do not have infinate space folks

Have tried getting hold of David with no joy but will keep trying. There is only a limited amount I can do but I have asked Gary to help me in this as it is a big job. I do agree that the board needs to be tidied but please can we keep the bickering between ourselves to a mimimum as I am sure that we all want to work for the good of the club and I know that the negativity of some of the posts are not good for the club.

I was under the impression that the webmaster was a committee member! Always was, I have the FTP access etc but not the board, anyway, with the underwhelming flood of interested people, anyone who is willing to undertake work on the clubs behalf should be encouraged surely?

Seems Jason has disappeared, again, where are you Jason, how is the new Eagle going?
The board really is in need of some cleaning up, there are dead threads on it from 2008 and I suspect even older and we do not have unlimited room on it.
I am more than willing to take on the forum admin but I need the access code/password, I have tried PM and email to last admin but no answer,

Pat asked ,"If there was an ACTIVE LINK" and as far as I know there isn't, if you know different please post the URL. we would all be pleased to see it. When I joined the Eagle Owners Club in 1995 it was "Bob's club", no one minded. in 2004 Bob dropped the whole thing in my lap. no members, no committee, equipment and bank account "lost", no web site and no forum, so it became "Peter's club" by default and we had in a short time and a LOT of work, 32 members, a web site, a board, a tent, flag and banner and a committee, I stepped down in 2006 because of accusations from a couple (no more) of people who said it was "my club!", (which in a way it was) and I felt that running chairing the club from here was not in the clubs best interest, see what has happened since, I rest my case. This forum is NOT the club, it belongs to me as the registered owner, it is a facility I made available to the E.O.C. When I saw there was no editing, or cleaning up of the board I asked who was supposed to be doing it and despite several posts no one came forward, so I mealy reverted to the original state. If someone wants to do the job, properly, I would be pleased to let them but in the last 6 years I have had problems getting anyone to take on a sustained commitment, for example, Roy would LOVE to have someone take on the chair but no offers as yet. Who is 'running' the shop, no new stock or sales, who is the membership member? In fact since 2006 there hasn't even been an AGM or elected committee, just members hanging in there keeping things together. Gary, Jason (or any other member/owner) you want the job,? It's yours, either put up or shut up!

I am Still THE COMMITTEE as i see it as no one came forward to take over. A certain person often claims that he was there but all ways turns up to late for the meetings and then claims that there wasn't one or that we whern't there. Gary and Myself have been booking the stands and taking phone calls from Eagle owners asking for help etc which we give willingly WE also attend Stoneleigh, Newark and up until last year Stafford Shows, we have been to Exeter in the past but as you know its getting pricey. Hopefully we will attend Donnington show. But it does come as a bit of a shock to see that you have written that It's YOUR forum, As I know nothing about any of the previous happenings. I was dragged in here to help when Sam left. I do not think that it's a bad thing that you have taken control as DJM has'nt responded to my contacts for a long time now. I know that gary Would be able to take over moderating the board if you choose as he comes or used to on here every night without fail and he also moderates for another club forum. It's up to you. As for me I have a great deal on my plate at the moment so whilst I am happy to continue as I am, I would not be able to give much more, So the chasing members and calls etc would need to be done by others.

Helen, I think you and Gary do a great job and until things get sorted I hope you will both continue to do so for as long as you want to. From my personaly frustrating position 1500 miles away, since 2006 I have sat back and watch all our hard work disappear, running a club or being a committee member as many of you will know is not a thing you can pick up and drop at will. it takes a sustained effort over many years to make a good club. I think WE need to take stock, get people who are willing to get stuck in and get things back up, the owners ARE out there, some on other forums, (including me, I'm on at least half a dozen.) Working TOGETHER we can do it again as long as we don't get into personality clashes and pissing contests.
Regards the forum 'ownership', it is a term from Proboards defining the person who started it, signed up and who's email is registered as the "owner". I am NOT trying to hi-jack it, it was already mine by default but I don't consider it such, I just wanted things to get moving again.
