Good idea but which car do we feature, SS or RV or both Maybe the small logo top left and a combination of a SS and a RV in the centre Drop the words "Owners club" and just have "Eagle Cars" Anyone able to do a companies search for Eagle Cars Ltd and see who, if anyone, ownes it, I think the club should own the name if possible. as far as I can make out it's just the RV moulds which they bought from another company so the SS, P25 etc are still out there somewhere, (if not distroyed), the copyright on the Eagle SS ends this year anyway.

Just did a check with four companies searches and all come up with that Eagle cars ltd is not registered to anyone at the moment. peter

Same as anyone else I guess, read the manule / SVA spec, make the car comply with it and get it tested. SVA isn't that impossible I went through the SVA guide thingy and and a lot of the paragraphes do not apply to rebuilt cars like the SS and RV.

"Simon Says" that the windscreen rake is too much, headlamps too low. Headlamps fixable - windscreen major prob. If copyright runs out soon is the SS still viable? - with spaceframe chassis?

a car does not need a windscreen for sva but i will look in the manual,, i am sure there is nothing to do with windscreen rake,, think its one of simons lines for getting a car cheaper from a seller lol ;D i will check and let you know,,then again if its vw based it wont need sva

VW VW VW VW ;D ;D Oh I am sooo lucky. No windscreen, well don't forget to take the wipers and washers off as well then. Asked a guy how he got his car through the SVA, he said " at about 50 mph followed by a handbrake turn". Don't think we were on the same page somehow

I am glad that the club goodies are finally arriving; sadly, I cannot join you all at Newark so please send mine out! As for SVA I am glad that mine is VW based! I guess that you could play the “great grandfathers’ axe” card. For those now looking blankly at the screen it goes that great grandfathers axe is a family heirloom that is still handed down and used. It has occasionally needed a new handle and sometimes a new head, but it is still great grandfathers’ axe. Thus you could register a VW based SS and when the chassis rusts through replace it with a suitable alternative, a space frame perhaps, as they do not manufacture new chassis anymore? I am not sure what the courts would make of it as it would be correctly registered as an SS and if you kept the VIN number and stamped it into the new chassis it would still be the same, wouldn’t it? This approach would defiantly work for Ford based SS’s as long as they are correctly registered now, they are already on a space frame chassis so whatever changes does not matter. I guess the “men in suits” would argue that the car had undergone “radical alteration” but I not sure that this could be made to stick in the courts. Not a legal opinion you understand just my thoughts! Jon

For those that have not yet bought, you really ought to get your cheque books out now.

Stuff arrived his morning, great, Love the badges and key ring and the VIN plate looks the dog's dangly bits with the numbers /letters letraset and clear covered. I think when funds allow we might get some 50mm wheel centre badges, sets of 5. Peter

Steve is taking care of membership at the moment as he has to have the money anyway it made sense to combine the two jobs, I'm sure if anyone wants to do membership he wouldn't be too upset. Looks O.K. and the format is correct now without the redundent 'Date from', but I thought we had agreed at Stoneliegh that ALL EOC stuff was going to have the standard Eagle club logo on? this one goes back 20 years! Still a bit too late to worry about that now, like 500 too late and better than nothing. still, that's just my opinion.

SO I SAVED THE CLUB 300 QUID AND GOT SOMETHING THAT LOOKS QUALITY,, I WILL STICK EM IN THE BIN IF THEY ARE NOT GOOD ENUFF,,

Hay, Jason, not need to go off on one, I got enough problems just trying to keep a bunch of disinterested unappreciative, and apathetic Eagle owners together in some form of a club because no one else gives poo enough to do it and Bobs' gone off in a hissy fit with all the club's stuff. All I said is we all present agreed at Stoneliegh that All E.O.C. material would have the same logo as on the badges, key rings, VIN plates, letter headings and supposedly the cards. I you decided to depart from that and design your own version, not even the original, then don't be surprised if I am less than happy with the outcome after 4 months having given you the draft copy. The fact I don't have the original block for the logo matters not a jot these days as it should all be done digitaly as was done on the other stuff. Peter

i gave an '''''original card'''' to the guy who was sacrificing his lunch breaks to help us out for a reduced fee,,,
as soon as i said i could get them done it took a week for people to ''hound'' me saying 'we need them yesterday''(see the forum)
so i then hounded the printer who obviously cut corners and did a simpler logo to get me/us,, off his back,,
been wasting my time for 3 years trying to be an active member,,
i will not be posting on here anymore
