Stoneleigh 2009 will soon be upon us ;D What plans if any are being made ? who's coming? in what?  Are we likely to be re united with our banner at this show?  Was there last weekend and it does look bare with only indoor shows - missed all the colour of the kits everywhere  |

I have booked the club stand for this show but at this time I am unsure as to whether I will be able to attend.
If I do get there it will not be in the RV as this is not back on the road yet.

Who is intending to attend Stoneleigh with an Eagle? The Club Stand is booked! So how many of you are going?

I don't know if my RV will be on the road. It depends on finances as to whether it gets an MOT, tax and insurance. Just can't say at the moment.
If it looks likely, then I will let you all know nearer the time.

I will be there, unfortunately without the rv which as yet has no brakes, electrics, seats, interior, dash, lights, doors or roof fitted.
apart from that its fine ;D

I was really going to try and be at this years show, but unfortunately that is just not possible. I am actually in England and will pass by down the M40 on Fri but am in Twickenham on Sat for the annual Army vs Navy rugby match. On Sun I have to go to The Church and then we fly back to NI early Mon morning. I must confess to being a little downhearted with life at the moment, Eagle-wise, so was hoping to get a lift from seeing everyone at the show. Oh well life goes on, I suppose!
I will try to get a board together with some photos and stuff so that it can be displayed if people think that would be a good idea.

Well the show is fast approaching, how is it all going? All logistics sorted, transport of equipment guaranteed and who's definitely going?

Judging by earlier thread responses it appears 1 x empty tent, maybe a committee member / administrator and no Agm again Is it all worth it I ask myself - but we will be there |

I cannot understand why these events are so poorly supported. If I were anywhere within reasonable driving distance, I'd be there like a shot. Stoneleigh is a days drive for me so getting there & back plus the weekend would mean a 4 day outing and I just can't do that (  ). I go to a good number of the (usually classic) car shows in Scotland but none are dedicated to kits and only a few have one or two turn up. It's a bit frustrating to be so far away from the action, perhaps everyone down south is too spoilt for choice given the number of ads for kit car shows that appear in the mags? |

If I had any way of getting there I would, but Monday is the only option and I am flying out of Heathrow at 1100 hrs so would not make it up and back in time. I intend to get into the garage this week and will try to get some photos and then do a poster that can be displayed. Not idea I know but the best I can, unless I can find something I have to do in England on the Tues so I have to stay overnight!

Terry -- Its my Saturday to work so to leave Cardiff 1.30ish -- as intending to drive up in Rv should be there easily by 4.00

Any news on the club banner returning for the show? AFAIK Chaz found it in his garage when he was moving. So if anyone has a new contact number? I will chase it up. (nothing new there then!) More Important....... (Other than Scorpio) Are there any other Eagles likely to be at the show and on the Club Stand? Appologies have been accepted from some who are not on the road as yet. But as I see it there is a Stand with ONE car on it at the moment! |

Yep. I'll be there Saturday afternoon onwards. When do you intend getting there? I could do with blagging a bed in the Tent on Saturday night ;D Trouble is my car will be inside on the AK stand all weekend! Which means I'll have to "travel light" so I can't live out of the back of it as usual |
