Is it just me? (probably it is ) As you will all know, having read my posts , I popped down to see how the floods were. Guy had stalled his car & it was safely on the side of the road. He was cold & said he would make arrangements to get home but he was scared to leave his car incase someone crashed into it. A local lady, who I assume must just be the village idiot said "don't worry - lets just ring the police & get them to put a hazzard sign & cones around your car" Really - is it me that is several steps removed from reality here? The county was in chaos from midday. Is it really likely that the police will be making themselves cups of tea in the station muttering about how boring the day is & wishing some muppet would relieve their boredom by asking them to cone off his car?

oh the village bumpkins, they do like to be fussed over, the kind of people that take lettuce back to tesco when they feel they have been shortchanged with the leaf count.

I dont im currently afloat in the market of affirmation...I mean I meet girls but I tend to get drunk and wonder off before getting the digits, Exceptionally irish in the process. is it gramma? I do wish us brits could revert to ye olde english script I feel conversations that otherwise seemed to go on would have a tint of humour every other second

Redcar coastal dunes, unfortunately did not read the waves right and crushed my spine!, cliff diving wasnt really all that.
ah, that was taken oop scotland, Ben nevis is to the left and Glencoe down below, that was one of the munros of scotland I climbed a couple of weeks back and suprisingly better views than on Ben nevis!!

I went up Ben Nevis. All a bit surreal cos it is practically a man made path now!
Do you visit the Lake District much?

Nope, barely scratched the surface, I did fancy taking on the 24 hour three peak challenge, but the thought of walking up the nevis path again depresses me. some nice crags though, are you a local'abitant of the des res lake district.

its the driving that would do my noggin in!, ill do it when im a bit flush and I can fly to save on travel time! bit of mile high power napping!
theres a clever saying "your only as old as the person you feel...so make sure you hold hands with a toyboy" the latter part I added to spur encouragement.

I'll bear that in mind Roy, should I need a clown's cuddle to cheer me up ever ;D Moody - I am sure that flying between the peaks is almost cheating . If you ever do it, let me come too tho! The three peaks is one of those things everyone should do before they die
