Charlie, nothing so strict!! We would all be happy to see someone turn up for just a morning or afternoon. There are a few of us that turn up before the show and leave after its over to help get everything set up and make a proper weekend of it. This normally involves some sort of public house sight seeing tour one evening over the weekend around the local village/town. As stipulated in the official club rules - all are welcome!!!

unfortunately mine wont be ready for this Year, but will hopefully be in a showable condition for next Year, even if its not totally finished. I assume if a vehicle is being shown you would need to turn up prior to the show and then not be able to move it until after the last day ? No, you can come and go as you wish Saturday or Sunday. no restrictions.( free to get in )
Just observe the 5 mph speed limit, but 10 mph is o.k.
Currently there will be room for all.
Your car does not have to be "showable" nor be "show quality", just arrive any time and leave any time. Mine may even be on a trailer, missing a fuel tank.
No worries.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I've just checked my diary and unfortunately we are away for the National show this Year, but I'm hoping to make it to Newark, are the rules the same for Newark. I also see that if there aren't enough Eagle cars booked in you might accept other "custom" cars. If so I have a modified Polaris Slinghot, that I could bring along ?

Well, we have had all sorts on the plot ( I don't mean cars ) so it's possible.

If we just had cars only on the pitch, we could get 25 cars on, 10 ft x 20 foot each, .
but with Master tent, hospitality tent, eating / seating areas etc etc, 12 would be O.K.

Some members can only make one day or a few hours, some turn up on the day before and stay the whole 2 nights. Members and interested folk are encouraged and welcome to come with or without a car, all the better if you have an Eagle. Theres always tea, coffee and beer available.

Report on the National Kit car show. With a few pics
This show at Malvern is the replacement to Stoneleigh. Stoneleigh's cost of hireing the venue had increased so much that last year, kit cars had to pay to get in, something unheard of previosly, hence the change in venue.
Malvern is a much more pleasant place. We had water taps available - but think we were lucky. and there were showers in the gent's Again, a few plots were empty, or had only few cars.
The turn out of Eagles was dispointing too, but I do know that many cars are still being worked on, and not everyone wants to go to a show in their Eagle, but I have for the past 3 years tried to entice people to come to the 2 main shows ( Malvern and Newark ) and with the increasing interest in the Club, managed to get a double plot, in anticipation of possibly more Eagles turning up.
The same organisers may reduce the size we had, by half for Newark, ( shown by the dotted line in some photos ) so to prevent that from happening, please try to visit Newark in your Eagles and tell me if you will be attending Newark, so as to accurately predict the plot size we need.-- 4 weeks advance - Newark is July 22nd and 23rd
However, the weather was great, we got sun tanned, we were fed well via the other two commitee members, Jon ( Gromit ) and Terry ( terryrob ) I suggest that their meals ( £ 5 for club members ) are up to 3 times cheaper than the stalls on site. You can see the array of cars that were there, and I anticipated the plot would be under utilised, so I brought my Lincoln ( see www.hisautos.com ) along and it was a classic car show as well, so no problem displaying, so if you have a "car of interest" let me know if you wish to display. My lincoln had a sign in the windscreen " Classic car section"
I will fight hard again, as I did this time, to get the same location at 2024's Malvern show, as it was next to the only paying entrace and we did get a lot of attention which is why I wanted that plot.
We had the A.G.M. and a few suggestions were made and voted on. If you are not a member of the club. you can't vote on anything, so think about joining.
So thanks to everyone who attended, and hope to see more Eagles at Newark ( and Malvern next year )
Graham ( Chairman )

Hi, I plan to be at the Newark show on the Sunday and will be bringing a car of interest with me (Polaris Slingshot) That will be fine, seeing as we can't seem to get enough Eagles at present.
Can you give me the details, and confirm the following. 2.0 L Engine made by Polaris: Compression ratio 11.5 to one ( my lincoln and VW beetles are about 8.5 to one )
